Working at the direction of the Bottling Operations Director, Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing the Quality Control team in day-to-day wine-bottling and dry goods process. Responsibilities include supervising and coordinating all QC personnel, overseeing dry good inspections, and work order packet process. They will coordinate with individual department leaders (Marketing, Winemaking, Sales, etc.) to identify and correct variances, ensure specifications are accurate, and ensure timely workflows for all products/runs within the SKU lifecycle. The QC Manager will help ensure that the bottling lines are operated in a safe, efficient, productive, and cost-effective manner, with an emphasis on quality and consistency while meeting or exceeding internal and external expectations. Quality, safety, efficiency, communication, and teamwork are key in this role.

Reports to: Director of Bottling
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

You Will:
Direct supervision over staffing for all QC operations;
Responsible for day-to-day bottling line quality checks and dry good inspections;
Ensures all MRM packets are completed in a timely manner, coordinates with sales for mock-up approvals;
Directs QC technicians to work safely and efficiently;
Ensures impeccable standards of quality for bottling, labeling, closing, and casing of wine products;
Reviews Bottling and QC documents for accuracy;
Oversees bottling line and shift changeovers;
Ensure all technician QC checks are done accurately and efficiently and verifies all results are within our guidelines;
Ensure the highest level of housekeeping, orderliness, cleanliness, and appearance of the QC department at all times;
Assist in managing quality holds, releases and destructions. Updates accurate records in the NCP Log;
Recommends measures to improve safety, quality, performance and inspection methods;
Ability to maintain high departmental morale, motivation, safety and productivity.
Schedules OT as needed to effectively cover bottling operations; reviews and approves payroll for processing; responsible for tracking employee time/punches and utilizing software to make edits, monitor schedules and submit to payroll.
Manages QC budget and ensures budget adherence as well as appropriate staffing for department.
Coordinates and observes day-to-day bottling operations, identifies risks and variances and exercises authority to stop operations due to non-conforming products. Must ensure non-confirming products are identified, reported/recorded and reworked or released as needed.
Follows quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; oversees the quality checks on dry goods and bottling lines.
Conducts routine audits on bottling line; maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits.
Validates quality processes per product specifications and quality attributes, measures production levels and efficiencies
Prepares documentation, including reports, summaries, suggestions, •  etc.; writes and updates quality assurance procedures and maintains records.
Collaborates with bottling and other members of the production team to develop improved manufacturing and training methods.
Oversee and manage Recycling program
Performs other duties as assigned.

You Have:
Maintaining schedule flexibility on short notice.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in QC/Production with at least 4 years in a supervisory capacity.
Experience with ISO, HACCP and GMP's and Microsoft NAV greatly preferred.
Ability to build and lead a strong team, capable of performing QC duties for the organization and working collaboratively with other areas.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and good organizational skills.
Commitment to creating and enforcing high standards, including the formalization of processes, and the creation and rollout of department SOPs
Ability to multitask, shift priorities and work well under pressure.

Serve as a leader and role model for other staff; collaborate closely with the Sr. Brands Manager and other leaders to ensure lifecycle timing is achievable and responsible.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop & occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to sit or stand for long periods (8 hours of more per day}
Must be able to push, pull, grasp, stretch and walk (8 or more hours per day}
Must be available to work any shift (day or swing, and potentially nights) as required
