Reports directly to the Winemaker and supports all cellar, harvest, bottling, and winery
operations while maintaining safe and efficient cellar practices.
Responsibilities
• Operate winery equipment including forklifts, pumps, presses, crushers, and other
cellar machinery safely and efficiently
• Perform daily cellar operations including wine transfers, racking, blending, topping,
filtration, barrel work, and tank preparation
• Maintain cellar cleanliness, sanitation, and proper equipment setup and maintenance
• Assist with harvest operations including fruit processing, punch-downs, pumpovers,
grape sampling, and fermentation monitoring
• Support bottling operations including preparation, packaging, labeling, and quality
checks
• Perform basic lab analysis and assist with sample collection, recordkeeping, and tech
sheets
• Monitor inventory of cellar supplies, lab materials, and production consumables
• Assist with vineyard tasks, winery events, and other operational needs as assigned
• Identify operational or wine quality issues and communicate them promptly to the
Winemaker
• Help coordinate daily cellar workflow and priorities with the winemaking team
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of winery cellar or production experience
• Forklift experience required (certification preferred)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
• Valid California driver’s license
• Must be 21 years or older
