DRNK Winery is a small, hands-on production team in Sebastopol. Everyone here cleans, works bottling, and works the cellar — we all pitch in to make great wine. It's a fun, professional, hardworking environment, and we take pride in doing things well.
Position Summary
We're looking for a dependable, energetic Cellar Hand to join our production team ahead of the 2026 harvest. Working under the direction of the GM & Winemaker and Cellarmaster, you'll support all aspects of cellar and bottling operations — from sanitation and wine transfers to fruit handling during crush. Bottling is a core part of this role, and accurate recordkeeping in Innovint is required. Primary Responsibilities
- Equipment and facility sanitation, including pre- and post-work cleanup
- Wine transfer operations — racking, blending, and ingredient additions
- Fruit handling, sorting, and processing during harvest/crush
- Bottling operations — set-up, running the line, and breakdown
- Topping, sampling, and barrel work
- Safe and effective operation of winery machinery (pumps, forklift, etc.)
- Accurate recordkeeping and work orders in Innovint
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and professional work area
- Participating in production meetings and occasional winery events
- Helping identify and minimize quality issues (e.g. oxygen pickup)
- Following all applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations
- Other tasks as assigned by the Winemaker
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligible for employment in the United States
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and reliable attendance
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a small team
- Prior cellar or winery experience preferred; Innovint experience a plus (will train the right person)
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly
- Bending, climbing, pulling, squatting, and standing for long periods
- Comfortable on stairs and ladders
- Tolerance for exposure to outdoor elements (heat, cold, wet/damp conditions) and loud equipment
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
