Aridus Wine Company is seeking a hands-on Facility Operations Manager for the 2026 harvest season at our production facility in Willcox, Arizona. This is a seasonal harvest position with the potential to become a full-time permanent role for the right candidate.
The Facility Operations Manager is responsible for supporting the physical operations of the winery’s production facility, tasting rooms, grounds, and equipment. This role helps ensure that the winery operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently during the busy harvest season by assisting with maintenance needs, coordinating vendors, supporting production logistics, and responding to facility-related issues across departments.
The ideal candidate is a practical, hands-on problem solver with strong organizational and communication skills. This position is well suited for someone with a background in facilities, industrial operations, maintenance, agriculture, construction, or winery production support.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Equipment Maintenance
Oversee and assist with maintenance and repair needs related to buildings, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, winery equipment, and grounds.
Help maintain preventative maintenance schedules for production and facility systems.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Maintain logs for equipment inspections, repairs, warranties, and service history.
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Source, schedule, and supervise third-party contractors for repairs, construction, landscaping, pest control, security, and other facility needs.
Ensure vendors and contractors meet safety and compliance expectations while working on site.
Assist with reviewing service agreements, repair estimates, and facility-related contracts.
Production Facility Support
Work closely with the winemaking and cellar teams to support crush pad operations, harvest logistics, tank cleaning systems, bottling setup, storage needs, and production events.
Assist with setup and teardown for harvest operations, bottling, production projects, and seasonal facility needs.
Help maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas.
Tasting Room & Hospitality Site Support
Support upkeep of tasting room interiors, patios, parking areas, storage spaces, and guest-facing facility areas.
Coordinate facility needs for events, private rentals, seasonal activities, and general hospitality operations.
Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify maintenance, safety, or appearance concerns.
Safety, Compliance & Inventory
Help ensure facilities meet OSHA and local safety requirements.
Maintain safety protocols and documentation, including MSDS records, eyewash stations, signage, and emergency supplies.
Manage facility-related inventory, including cleaning supplies, light bulbs, tools, maintenance materials, and other operating supplies.
Submit purchase requests as needed.
Support emergency preparedness and response planning for issues such as power outages, water leaks, equipment failures, and urgent facility repairs.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of experience in facilities, operations, industrial maintenance, agriculture, construction, or related hands-on work preferred.
Winery, production, agricultural, or industrial facility experience is a plus.
Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, equipment maintenance, and general construction.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to prioritize multiple needs during a busy harvest season.
Comfortable coordinating with vendors, contractors, production staff, hospitality staff, and ownership.
Familiarity with safety standards, maintenance logs, facility documentation, and inventory tracking.
Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, maintenance logs, and inventory records.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
