Groth Vineyards & Winery, a premium Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon producer, is actively seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals for winemaking staff internships during the harvest season of 2026. Previous harvest/cellar experience is highly preferred and a degree pertaining to related studies would be advantageous. Attention to detail, being able to follow verbal and written instructions, and the ability to work cohesively and safely with other people are essential requirements for this position.
Job duties will include grape receiving, sorting, crushing, pressing, wine/juice racking, wine/juice transfers, lees filtration, inoculations, nutrient additions, pump overs, barrel prep/filling, winery sanitation, and other general winery operations. All tasks will be completed alongside our production team of 8 to 10 people. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and a strong communicator. The Groth team will fully train interns on all harvest responsibilities as necessary.
The internship will start in early August and last until the end of harvest activity, usually between mid-November and the end of December. The work will involve assisting our winemaking team in crafting unique, elegant, and highly sought out world class wines at our Oakville winery and our Napa satellite winery.
Qualifications and Work Environment Requirements:
• Must have reliable transportation to and from job.
• Intermediate verbal and written English skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be willing to perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, high places and climb ladders.
• Work with chemicals that require protective equipment (PPE and training will be provided by employer).
• Willingness to work overtime and on weekends, as necessary.

Compensation: $20-$23/hr DOE plus overtime
