Fantesca Estate & Winery

St. Helena, CA

Apply

Job Description:

At the intersection of artistry and terroir, Fantesca Estate & Winery is a family-owned, CCOF-certified organic winery on Spring Mountain in St. Helena. Founded in 2004 by Susan and Duane Hoff, Fantesca crafts limited-production Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon for a loyal community of members nationwide. As an appointment-only estate, every visit is personal, and that's by design.

This is an exciting time to join Fantesca. We're renovating our tasting room, expanding our wine portfolio, and building a team of entrepreneurial, relationship-driven individuals who thrive with autonomy and want to shape the guest experience from the ground up.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for driving growth through strategic relationship management with both private clients and trade partners. You will own a dedicated book of members, serve as their primary Fantesca contact, and actively cultivate new business through outreach and referral partnerships. This is a sales-focused position that combines world-class hosting with proactive business development.

Professional Responsibilities
— Conduct elevated tasting appointments for collectors and guests at Fantesca’s Spring Mountain Winery.
— Deliver exceptional hospitality that reflects Fantesca's commitment to personalized, luxury service.
— Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless guest experiences, including coordination on scheduling and special requests.
— Contribute to the continuous improvement of the guest experience through feedback and creative ideas.
— Actively generate new membership sign-ups through hosted appointments, partner referrals, and outreach efforts.
— Participate in the development and execution of sales initiatives, events, and campaigns that drive traffic and revenue.

Private Client Management:
— Serve as the dedicated point of contact for an assigned book of members, building genuine, long-term relationships.
— Proactively engage members through regular outreach, including wine recommendations, visit coordination, and personalized communication, increasing purchase frequency and order value within your member book.
— Drive member retention by anticipating needs, resolving concerns promptly, and delivering thoughtful touches (birthday recognition, personalized notes, non-sales engagement).
— Facilitate member purchases, reorders, and allocation adjustments through Commerce7 and other systems.
— Coordinate and host private dinners, in-home tastings, and member events, with occasional travel required.
— Convert member referrals into new business by ensuring referred guests receive exceptional experiences.

Partnership Development:
— Build and maintain relationships with concierge professionals, hotel partners, luxury transportation providers, and complementary wineries.
— Conduct regular outreach to existing and prospective partners through visits, tastings, and collaborative events.
— Track partnership activity and results, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase referral volume.
— Represent Fantesca at trade events and industry gatherings to expand brand awareness and generate leads.
— Maintain accurate records of member interactions, partner outreach, and sales activity in company systems.

Qualifications:
— A minimum of 5+ years of experience in the wine industry, or relevant experience, preferably in a customer-facing capacity.
— Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
— Strong customer service aptitude, focusing on creating exceptional experiences.
— Exemplify a professional appearance and demeanor that aligns with the brand image of Fantesca Estate & Winery.
— Display a professional, positive attitude with enthusiasm, maturity, and discretion.
— Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and adept record-keeping abilities.
— Project a warm and friendly presence, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
— Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, and extended hours during peak seasons.
— Exceptional solution-oriented skills to address customer needs effectively.
— Familiarity with Commerce7 and Tock is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:
— As a part of the hospitality team, you should be physically capable of:
— Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
— Adhering to a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
— Standing for extended periods.
— Walking on flat and sloped terrains.

If you are an organized, self-motivated individual who is enthusiastic about wine, has excellent customer service skills, and a results-oriented mindset, we would love to hear from you. Join our team at Fantesca Estate & Winery and help us create unforgettable experiences for our guests!
