Job Description:

Arette Tequila is one of Mexico's most storied and authentic tequila brands — a true family legacy distilled in Jalisco and now making its mark across the United States. As we accelerate our growth in New York City, we are seeking a passionate, driven, and well-connected Field Account Manager to represent Arette in one of the most dynamic spirits markets in the world. This is a rare opportunity to own a territory, build lasting trade relationships, and bring a genuinely exceptional tequila to some of New York's best bars, restaurants, and retail establishments.

Position Overview:
The Field Account Manager — New York City is a full-time, field-based sales role responsible for building and growing the Arette Tequila brand across both On and Off Premise accounts throughout the five boroughs and surrounding metro area. This individual will drive quality distribution, deepen account relationships, execute brand activations, and serve as the face of Arette in New York's competitive spirits landscape.

Salary starting at $80K+ with up to 40% Bonus + Monthly T&E Budget + Health Benefits Package

Reporting:
The Field Account Manager — New York City reports directly to the President, Arette Tequila USA.

Key Responsibilities:

Distribution & Key Account Management:
•  Drive high-quality distribution of Arette Tequila across targeted On and Off Premise accounts, consistently prospecting new opportunities within the assigned New York City territory and beyond.
•  Maintain a disciplined call cycle across both On and Off Premise accounts — reviewing brand priorities, tracking execution, and identifying opportunities to grow rate-of-sale.
•  Secure back-bar placement, premium shelf positioning, and impactful menu placements to maximize brand visibility and consumer pull.
•  Execute effective merchandising strategies including proper shelf management, point-of-sale placement, and utilization of brand marketing materials across the account base.
•  Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales achievements, quota progress, and a structured account management plan covering both On and Off Premise.
•  Identify new accounts and untapped markets to grow Arette's footprint and increase market share throughout New York City and beyond.

Relationship Development:
•  Build and nurture strong relationships with key account buyers, bar managers, beverage directors, retail buyers, distributor partners, and influential members of the NYC bartending community.
•  Serve as a trusted brand ambassador and category expert, earning the confidence of both On and Off Premise trade partners.
•  Leverage existing NYC market relationships to accelerate brand adoption and open doors in priority accounts.

Education & Training:
•  Conduct engaging product education sessions, staff trainings, and consumer samplings across On and Off Premise accounts, completing post-activity recaps.
•  Develop and deliver compelling brand and category trainings to ensure Arette remains top-of-mind with bartenders, retail staff, and trade influencers throughout NYC.
•  Communicate Arette's heritage, production story, and portfolio depth with authenticity and passion.

Events & Activation:
•  Source, plan, and execute consumer and trade events designed to generate trial, awareness, and brand loyalty for Arette Tequila in the NYC market.
•  Develop and execute brand-building activations including on-premise events, retailer samplings, cocktail competitions, dinner pairings, and brand launch experiences.
•  Create and promote Arette signature cocktails tailored for both On Premise menus and Off Premise consumer education.

Market Insights & Reporting:
•  Monitor and report on competitive activity, pricing trends, distribution gaps, and market opportunities across On and Off Premise channels.
•  Provide timely and actionable field intelligence to the President and leadership team to inform sales strategy and brand investment decisions.

Required Skills & Attributes:
•  Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a genuine passion for the spirits category and an affinity for authentic, heritage-driven brands.
•  Proven ability to navigate and succeed across both On Premise (bars, restaurants, hotels) and Off Premise (retail, specialty stores) environments.
•  Strong relationship-builder with demonstrated ability to influence buyers, bartenders, distributor teams, and market influencers.
•  Highly organized and resourceful with the ability to manage a large account base, event logistics, and multiple brand priorities simultaneously.
•  Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as required by the nature of On Premise business.
•  Reliable, accountable, and driven to consistently exceed goals — a true owner mentality.
•  Credibility and existing relationships within the NYC on and off premise trade community strongly preferred.
•  Passion for tequila and agave spirits; knowledge of the broader cocktail culture a strong plus.

Qualifications:
•  Must reside in the NY Metro area.
•  Bachelor's degree preferred.
•  Minimum 2–3 years of field sales experience in the alcohol beverage industry with a demonstrated track record of success in both On and Off Premise channels.
•  Existing relationships with New York City On and Off Premise accounts is a significant advantage.
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence presenting in front of trade audiences.
•  Proficient in MS Office Suite and comfortable with CRM or reporting tools.
•  Valid driver's license required.
•  Physical capabilities necessary to perform all duties of the role, including lifting and transporting product samples and event materials.
