Kenwood Vineyards

Kenwood, CA

Apply

Job Description:

IGNITE YOUR PASSION FOR WINEMAKING
This is not just a winemaking job. This is your chance to shape the soul of Kenwood Vineyards and Korbel table wines — to wake up every morning driven by the thrill of turning exceptional grapes into wines that tell a story, delight consumers, and push the boundaries of quality and style.

If you live and breathe wine — if you obsess over every detail from vineyard to bottle, if you’re constantly experimenting, refining, and dreaming about the perfect expression in every glass — this role is your playground. You’ll lead with creativity, precision, and vision at one of California’s iconic wineries.

WHAT YOU’LL CREATE & LEAD
•  Be the driving force behind every drop of Kenwood Vineyards and Korbel table wine — crafting distinctive styles that excite consumers, strengthen brand positioning, and deliver outstanding quality and profitability.
•  Directly lead all winemaking at Kenwood while guiding table wine production at Korbel, bringing your personal touch and innovative spirit to every vintage.
•  Work hand-in-hand with the vineyard team to monitor ripening, select the best fruit, and coordinate harvest — turning nature’s finest moments into unforgettable wines.
•  Develop and evolve winemaking techniques that balance artistry with efficiency, constantly raising the bar on quality while staying agile and creative.
•  Champion style development that connects deeply with wine lovers — creating wines that don’t just meet expectations, they surpass them.
•  You’ll energize and mentor a talented winemaking team, foster collaboration across production, bottling, and beyond, and become a proud public face and ambassador for Kenwood — sharing your passion with distributors, retailers, press, and wine enthusiasts.

Additional highlights include:
•  Driving smart capital and operational decisions that fuel growth.
•  Ensuring impeccable TTB compliance and record-keeping with pride.
•  Partnering across departments to keep facilities pristine and operations running at peak performance.
•  Upholding the highest safety and quality standards every single day.

WHO YOU ARE
You’re a rising star with fire in your belly — a hands-on winemaker who combines deep technical mastery with creative flair. You thrive on:
•  Turning complex challenges into elegant solutions
•  Motivating and developing people who share your obsession with excellence
•  Making bold yet thoughtful decisions that elevate the entire program
•  Communicating your vision with energy — whether in the cellar, with executives, or in front of a room full of trade professionals

Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Enology (or related scientific field) plus 8–10 years of progressive winemaking experience, with proven leadership in both hands-on production and team management.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING
•  A profound understanding of the entire winemaking process — from vineyard management to bottling
•  Creative, innovative mindset paired with strong analytical skills
•  Natural ability to inspire and lead teams
•  Excellent communication and presentation skills
•  Deep respect for tradition combined with excitement for innovation
•  Unstoppable passion, positive energy, and a relentless focus on quality

This is your opportunity to pour your heart into wines that matter — at a historic winery where craftsmanship, creativity, and excellence are celebrated every single day.
