Apona Vineyards is seeking part-time Tasting Room Associates to join our team. Weekends are required. Additionally, Apona Vineyards is looking for hosting, back of house and lead positions for the Tasting Room.
We invite guests to experience our award-winning wines, seasonal culinary offerings, and incredible views. We look for team members to serve, educate, and entertain our members and guests.
For successful, motivated candidates, this position has the potential to transition into a full-time regular role.

Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum 2 years restaurant serving or tasting room experience strongly preferred.
Wine Knowledge: Strong baseline knowledge required with a passion for continuous learning.
Certifications: CMS, WSET, or SWE credentials preferred but not required.
Permits: Valid OLCC Service Permit and Food Handler card (or ability to obtain both).
Tech Skills: Familiarity with Commerce7 (C7) platform, and Microsoft office suite is a plus.
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Engagement
Greet all visitors enthusiastically upon arrival.
Lead guests through wine tasting flights with engaging storytelling.
Educate visitors on our history, wines, commitments, and events.
Provide exceptional service to ensure a memorable customer experience.

Sales & Club Growth
Build relationships with non-members to drive Wine Club conversions.
Engage existing members to strengthen brand loyalty and retention.
Effectively sell wine and culinary items with natural up-selling skills.
Process sales transactions for wine, food, merchandise, and shipping orders.

Daily Operations
Set up and break down all indoor and outdoor tasting spaces.
Open, verify condition, and decant wines appropriately.
Restock wine, merchandise, and guest collateral across the floor.
Maintain pristine, clean, and organized guest spaces at all times.
Represent the winery at off-site functions when necessary.
