Quivira Vineyards & Winery
ESTATE WINE EDUCATOR
Healdsburg, CA | Full-Time
About Quivira
Located in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, Quivira Vineyards is one of California's few CCOF-certified organic vineyard estates. We are passionate about exceptional wines, organic farming, genuine hospitality, and creating meaningful connections between guests, the land, and the wines we produce.
The Opportunity
Quivira is seeking a full-time Estate Wine Educator to join our hospitality team. This role goes far beyond a traditional tasting room position. Estate Wine Educators guide guests through tastings, vineyard and garden tours, winery dinners, and curated estate experiences while sharing the story of Quivira's wines, organic farming practices, and beautiful Dry Creek Valley estate.
We are looking for a hospitality professional who enjoys connecting with people, creating memorable experiences, and building lasting guest relationships.
Candidates with strong restaurant, resort, hotel, private club, concierge, or luxury hospitality experience are highly encouraged to apply. While wine industry experience is appreciated, it is not required. We believe exceptional hospitality and guest service are the foundation of memorable wine country experiences and can often be more valuable than extensive wine knowledge alone.
Key Responsibilities
• Host exceptional wine tastings, tours, and curated estate experiences
• Educate guests about Quivira's wines, organic farming practices, estate gardens, vineyards, and Dry Creek Valley history
• Create memorable guest experiences that inspire wine sales, wine club memberships, and repeat visits
• Assist with winery dinners, special events, private experiences, and wine club events
• Build authentic relationships with guests and club members
• Manage reservations, guest communications, and hospitality details with professionalism and care
• Support wine sales, wine club acquisitions, and guest follow-up
• Maintain a welcoming and polished hospitality environment
• Work collaboratively with hospitality, culinary, vineyard, and operations teams
Qualifications
• Minimum two years of experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, resorts, private clubs, concierge services, wineries, luxury retail, tourism, or other guest-focused environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, positive, and hospitality-driven mindset
• Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
• Comfortable with sales and relationship-building
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys taking care of people, anticipates guest needs, and creates meaningful connections. You are warm, confident, curious, and eager to learn. You understand that hospitality is not simply serving wine, it is making people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
Why Quivira?
• Competitive hourly pay ($24–$28/hour) Average annual earnings including tips and commissions: $60,000–$75,000+
• Tips and sales commissions that reward performance
• Medical benefits and paid time off
• Employee wine discounts
• Opportunities for wine education and professional growth
• Work on one of Sonoma County's most beautiful organic vineyard estates
• Be part of a collaborative, supportive, and passionate team
• Enjoy a dynamic role where every day is different, from tastings and tours to dinners, events, and seasonal celebrations
At Quivira, we believe great hospitality is just as important as great wine. We would rather hire an outstanding hospitality professional and teach them wine than hire a wine expert who lacks a genuine passion for taking care of guests.
