Reporting directly to the Estate Director, responsible for partnering on the planning, development, and execution of the Quintessa communications and brand activation plan. This position works in close collaboration with the VC, Wholesale, and DTC functions of the business, in addition to managing and collaborating with outside agencies, partners, and consultants. This role is a brand champion for Quintessa and all communication/external touchpoints regarding the Estate, who seeks to grow Quintessa's brand presence and consumer awareness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES.
Brand Essence, Positioning, Standards
• In partnership with the Estate Director and Winemaker, act as custodian of brand essence and align key stakeholders behind the current and long term brand positioning.
• Partner with the Estate Director to bring the long term vision of Quintessa to life across all areas of the Estate.
• Ensure consistent application of messaging across all channels and mediums.
Planning and PR
• Work with the Estate Director & the leadership team to develop long-term brand strategies, to include:
• Prepare the annual communication & sales plans for the US market.
• Work with the Huneeus Vintners wholesale team to ensure robust plans are in place for all key markets and Regional Sales Managers have all necessary marketing collateral to execute against plan.
• Participate in quarterly business planning & review meetings.
• Develop the annual public relations plan for the Estate.
• Build PR relationships locally and internationally.
Marketing & Campaigns - DTC
• Work closely with DTC team to build annual release campaign calendar to achieve sales goals.
• Responsible for content creation (photography, video, copywriting, etc.) for all DTC campaigns and online presence.
• Oversee and develop production of our annual Q Journal.
• Help develop experiential marketing for Quintessa, leveraging all assets (brand positioning, chef relationships, the Estate, etc.).
Marketing & Promotions - Wholesale
• Develop and implement brand marketing plan for consumers and trade, including POS programs, trade incentives, events, sales meetings kick offs, market blitzes and more.
• Develop and execute annual wholesale release program, building awareness and prestige across trade channels and with key partners.
• Develop bi-annual Brand/Business Review agenda and manage presentation/discussion topics.
• Develop and execute a rolling 12-month brand program calendar.
• Partner with the Sales Operations team to track marketing programs including results to goal, overall execution and communication to distributors and field sales.
• Manage brand and program budgets effectively and within allocated spend.
Partnerships
• Develop unique partnership-driven programming for existing and prospective DTC members.
• Engage with leagues, organizations, and venues that fit brand positioning to develop features for Quintessa.
• Expand concierge partnership program to luxury travel advisors, credit cards, etc.
Digital/Social Strategy Development
• Responsible for developing a dynamic digital social media strategy for the Estate.
• Proactive pursuit of technology solutions that facilitate consumer engagement for the brand.
• Manage social media consultant/agency to oversee social media for brand.
Market Management
• Work closely with sales to identify opportunities to expand the brand within relevant trade channels.
• Use robust business analysis to identify quality distribution opportunities in key markets.
• Develop strong relationships with relevant distributors, key accounts, trade organizations and other key stake holders to support in-market efforts.
• Develop brand awareness & engagement through planning and conducting trade & consumer events.
• Assist in coordinating Estate Director & winemaker market visits and media appointments .
• Develop and execute the annual PR plan in coordination with agency and key objectives, including international expansion of PR.
POS & Database Management
• Lead the creation, production and delivery of print, on-line, multi-media brand assets and program projects.
• Source materials, request quotes and work with printers, designers and vendors to realize quality and savings on POS on deadline and budget.
• Maintain brand asset site including graphics libraries and accolades.
• Maintain a database of accolades and PR communication; provide updates to the field sales team.
Growth, Analysis, & Reporting
• Conduct analysis to understand brand performance on key business measures at national, regional and state/market levels including shipments, depletions, scan data as appropriate, and recommend appropriate insights/actions.
• Conduct primary market research, analyze and interpret category and competitive trends, and monitor brand health metrics to aid in strategic planning and decision making.
• Seek opportunities to improve business results and sales profitability, analyzing brand pricing, utilizing internal sales reporting tools and basic financial reporting principles.
• Provide insight & knowledge of overall market and competitive dynamics.
Other
• Along with Estate Director, Sales & Winemaking team, organize competitive tasting panels to fully understand how our wines are performing against the competitive set.
• Host key trade, media and international guests to Quintessa, as required.
