For more than forty years, Sequoia Grove Winery has crafted Napa Valley wines rooted in place, led by Cabernet Sauvignon and brought to life through thoughtful, welcoming hospitality. We believe wine is meant to be shared—and the best experiences happen when people slow down and connect.

We're looking for a Tasting Room Greeter to serve as the first point of contact for guests visiting Sequoia Grove Winery. This role is responsible for creating a warm first impression, managing guest arrivals, and helping ensure a seamless flow of hospitality experiences throughout the day.

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Tasting Room & Hospitality Manager. The anticipated salary range for this position is between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour plus tips.

Position Summary
The Tasting Room Greeter welcomes guests upon arrival, coordinates reservations and walk-in traffic, and helps create a polished and organized guest experience from the moment visitors arrive. Working closely with the hospitality team, this role supports guest flow, communicates wait times, and provides guests with an introduction to Sequoia Grove and its tasting experiences.

Key Responsibilities
•  Welcome guests with a warm, professional, and engaging demeanor
•  Manage guest check-ins and reservations using winery reservation systems
•  Coordinate seating and communicate wait times for walk-in guests
•  Provide an introduction to Sequoia Grove Winery and available tasting experiences
•  Escort guests to tasting locations and ensure smooth transitions between experiences
•  Monitor tasting room and patio capacity to support efficient service flow
•  Communicate guest arrivals, special requests, and timing updates to hospitality staff
•  Answer guest questions regarding wines, experiences, winery amenities, and policies
•  Assist with water service and light guest support during busy periods
•  Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area at all times
•  Support opening and closing duties related to reservations and reception operations
•  Uphold responsible hospitality practices and winery service standards
•  Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
•  Previous hospitality, tasting room, restaurant, or guest services experience preferred
•  Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for hospitality
•  Comfortable interacting with guests in a warm, professional manner
•  Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
•  Experience using reservation systems or hospitality software preferred
•  Positive attitude with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
•  Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
•  Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with a luxury hospitality environment
•  Must be able to speak, read, and understand English; additional language skills are a plus
•  Must be available weekends, holidays, and peak hospitality seasons
•  Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements
•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
•  Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
