This harvest you will have the opportunity to work with over 20 grape varieties, each warranting their own style and care. This fruit diversity is matched in the cellar with a mix of stainless, oak, and concrete fermentation vessels. There is an abundance of great tools to learn how to operate. The Walls, and our Rocks District AVA Rhone-focused project PÁŠXA, are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Harvest Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a vital role in the hands-on aspects of our winemaking process.
Specific duties include:
*Fruit processing and fermentation management.
*Operate and maintain pumps, presses, and all forms of winery equipment.
*Clean and sanitize tanks and processing equipment.
*Perform barrel work and assist winemakers in additions.
*Perform all cellar sanitation according to SOP, including tank washing, hose and equipment washing, floor washing, barrel washing, and SO2/Ozone gassing.
*Furnish lab with wine/juice samples for analysis.
You'll be a great fit if you:

*Have a strong understanding of cellar operations and best practices.
*Are detail-oriented and enjoy working in a clean and organized environment.
*Can handle physical tasks like lifting, moving, and cleaning.
*Thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working as part of a team.
*Have good taste in music (though not required).
Bonus points if you:
* Have experience working in a premium winery or a similar production environment.
* Hold a certificate in viticulture or enology (not required but a plus).

Wages $18.00-$20.00 DOE
Qualifications:
* Strong work ethic with references
* Experience working in wineries
* Familiarity with basic winemaking principles
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physically fit and able to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
