Deovlet Wines is a boutique (+/- 2,500 cases) growing brand with exciting long-term potential. We are currently operating with 50% of sales through DTC and 50% through wholesale channels (Domestic & Export). We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven DTC Lead to oversee the daily operations of our Baywood-Los Osos tasting room while supporting broader direct-to-consumer initiatives. As we continue to expand, including the development of our new estate vineyard in Los Osos Valley (SLO Coast AVA) for private experiences, this role offers the opportunity to grow alongside the business and play an important part in shaping the future of our DTC program. Plans are also underway for a winery to be built on estate property in Los Osos Valley.

This is a proactive leadership role for someone who is passionate about wine and hospitality. This person will play an important role in growing and supporting our DTC business while helping to foster a welcoming, knowledgeable, and elevated atmosphere in the tasting room. We enjoy hosting a dynamic calendar of fun events, all centered around exceptional wine and hospitality, which enhances our Wine Club growth and retention while curating memorable guest experiences. Working closely with a tight team, we will meet to set sales goals, conduct regular tastings, and provide training to build knowledge. Exceptional experiences, balancing warmth and professionalism delivered with confidence and intention, will drive sales.

This position will be primarily located in Baywood-Los Osos with occasional travel to the current winery in San Luis Obispo.

Responsibilities
Tasting Room Operations
Lead all day-to-day tasting room operations
Deliver exceptional hospitality and customer service experiences
Manage opening and closing procedures
Maintain tasting room presentation, cleanliness, and organization
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and restocking
Manage staff scheduling and assist with training and team leadership

DTC & Wine Club Support
Assist with wine club fulfillment and shipping logistics
Support member retention and customer relationship efforts
Help execute DTC sales initiatives and promotions
Respond to customer inquiries and provide personal customer service
Support general administrative and operational DTC tasks as needed
Serve as an ambassador for Deovlet Wines both on-site and select off-site engagements

Qualifications
Previous tasting room, hospitality, or DTC wine industry experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Comfortable working evenings, weekends, select holidays and busy hospitality shifts
Experience with POS system (Commerce7), inventory management, and wine club software is a plus
Passion for wine and customer experience required.
