Eminent Domaine Harvest Internship Lead

Located in the heart of the Ribbon Ridge AVA, Eminent Domaine is a small, premium family-owned winery focused on estate-grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
We are seeking one experienced Harvest Internship Lead to join our production team for the 2026 harvest season. This is an ideal role for someone looking for a hands-on, immersive harvest experience at a smaller winery where independence, precision, and initiative are highly valued.
Applicants must be available without interruption from September through mid-November and willing to work overtime (early mornings, evenings, weekends, swing shifts). In addition, we offer a $500 sign-on bonus, payable at the completion of the harvest.
Job Summary
Previous experience is highly valued. The ideal applicant is dependable, organized, enthusiastic, detail oriented, and self-motivated. You should possess a positive attitude, sense of humor, and good communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities of Cellar workers:
• Assist with pre-harvest winery organization, equipment preparation, and cellar sanitation
• Perform daily cellar operations, including:
o Fruit intake and processing
o Fruit sorting
o Punch-downs and pump-overs
o Fermentation monitoring and cap management
o Additions and tank/barrel sanitation
o Pressing and draining fermenters
o Racking and barreling down
o Barrel washing and steaming
• Maintain accurate harvest records, sampling logs, and basic lab work
• Operate forklifts and cellar equipment
• Assist with general winery maintenance and harvest logistics
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Previous cellar harvest experience required
• Must be reliable, punctual, and engaged
• Forklift experience required
• Accurately follow and complete work instructions
• The ability to work both independently and as a team member with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality cellar work
• Understand and comply with all safety requirements
• Must have reliable transportation and authorization to work in the United States
Independent Work Environment:
• Comfortable working independently in the winery with guidance and oversight from the winemaker. Candidates must be confident operating winery equipment safely and efficiently without constant supervision.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to stand for long periods on wet or slippery surfaces
• Comfortable climbing ladders, stairs, kneeling, bending, and working in varying temperatures
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays during harvest peak
• Must be 21 years of age or older
Harvest Timeline
• Position begins: September 1, 2026
• Expected completion: Late October through early November 2026, depending on harvest conditions
Compensation & Perks
• $20 - $23/hour DOE, plus overtime paid at 1.5x base rate
• $500 completion bonus paid at the end of harvest
• Harvest meals provided during fruit-receival and pick days
• Monthly wine allotment
