Director of FP&A
At Far Niente Wine Estates, we believe exceptional brands are built through thoughtful strategy, operational excellence, and a relentless pursuit of quality.
We are seeking a highly analytical, business-minded, and proactive Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our financial planning function and help shape the future of our growing portfolio of luxury wine brands.
This is more than a traditional finance role. We are looking for a strategic business partner who can connect financial insight to operational action—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and can influence decisions across sales, operations, supply chain, production, and executive leadership.
The Director of FP&A will play a critical role in driving company performance through rigorous forecasting, strategic analysis, and actionable recommendations that improve
profitability, efficiency, and long-term growth.
What You’ll Do
Lead Enterprise Financial Planning
• Own the company’s Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process from start to finish, including budgeting timelines, cross-functional coordination, three-statement modeling, and executive/board presentations.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, and balance sheet performance, ensuring leadership has timely visibility into risks and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly operating reports with clear analysis of actual vs. budget and prior year performance, highlighting key business drivers and trends.
Drive Strategic Business Insights
• Partner directly with channel leaders across Wholesale, DTC, International, Wine Club, E-Commerce, and Hospitality to improve forecasting accuracy and drive profitable growth.
• Identify opportunities for margin expansion, pricing optimization, mix improvement, operational efficiency, and cost savings—and help lead initiatives through execution.
• Serve as a proactive analytical partner to cross-functional teams by surfacing trends, challenging assumptions, and recommending data-driven solutions.
Support Operational & Supply Chain Planning
• Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Vineyard Operations to support S&OP and demand planning processes.
• Align financial forecasts with production realities, inventory management, grape procurement, and margin objectives.
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting related to COGS, vintage dynamics, production costs, SG&A, and overhead spending.
Lead Strategic & Capital Initiatives
• Evaluate capital investments and strategic initiatives through robust business cases, ROI analysis, sensitivity modeling, and payback assessments.
• Support quarterly board materials, lender reporting, M&A evaluations, and ad hoc strategic projects.
• Partner closely with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to evaluate and execute growth opportunities.
Build Scalable Financial Infrastructure
• Continuously improve financial systems, reporting tools, and data visibility across the organization.
• Help advance automation and self-service reporting capabilities using platforms such as Power BI, Adaptive Planning, ERP systems, and other business intelligence tools.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing FP&A team with strong analytical and business partnership capabilities.
What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience
• Proven success leading budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and BI/reporting platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights
• Strong leadership presence and the ability to influence across functions
