Job Description:
This highly creative position supports the full scope of design and marketing needs for various brands both wholesale and DTC to help the company elevate the value of our brands and achieve sales goals. This position designs and updates wine packaging, marketing materials, digital content, and websites. This position also gathers and edits photo and video content and is responsible for creation of all content for a variety of social media accounts, emails and digital marketing campaigns, all under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing. This position also represents the company at periodic offsite events and sometimes at the Tasting Room. Key to this position’s success is the ability to collaborate across departments, work efficiently, manage timelines and priorities to help grow our brands and drive sales.
Essential Functions:
• Design and update a variety of wine labels and packages, including assets such as sell sheets and bottle shots.
• Create and maintain websites. Audit regularly.
• Create calendars and content for email marketing, social media content, and digital advertising for various brands. Report regularly on results.
• Design and procure marketing materials to support wholesale efforts including signage, banners, and other supplies as needed.
• Design and print tasting menus, order forms, flyers, brochures, business cards, recipes cards, and tasting room signage as needed.
• Coordinate photo and video shoots, edit content.
• Assist in maintaining organized files of digital brand assets for use by the team.
• Assist in ordering labels and other printed materials and merchandise, with a focus on staying in budget.
• Ensure brand guidelines are maintained, updated as needed, and that all content reflects the guidelines.
• Assist as needed with onsite and offsite events to help promote and represent brands.
• Assist the company with other activities as needed (ie: bottling, meeting with vendors clients).
Qualifications:
• Degree in Graphic Design or related Marketing field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience preferred.
• Must provide a link to a strong design portfolio demonstrating a broad graphic design skillset.
• Demonstrated ability to design independently using a broad range of Adobe Creative Cloud tools including at least Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Familiarity with setting up print files for digital and traditional presses, as well as in house printing by various staff members.
• Experience setting up and managing advertising campaigns.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Experience using MailChimp for email design and marketing.
• Ability to produce visual and written work of the highest quality, demonstrating attention to detail and responsiveness to feedback from team.
• Experience specifically in winery marketing is a big plus.
• Comfortable using project management tools to collaborate with team members, like Asana or Basecamp.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
• This is an onsite position that requires working in an office setting full or nearly full time.
• This position requires periodic to regular work at various exciting locations including tasting rooms, vineyards, wineries, and offsite events and must be able to drive
independently to those locations.
• This position spends long periods of time in front of a computer and multiple screens.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly range of $25 to $32 per hour depending on experience.
