Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, bilingual, detail oriented and experienced wine harvest individual to join our production team as a Seasonal Harvest Cellar Lead. This is an intermediate level role, with a high level of responsibility during harvest and the potential to transition to a full-time cellar hand post-harvest, depending on how harvest goes. The ability to speak Spanish is a requirement of this position. Start date early August.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
•  Forklift- loading and unloading trucks, stacking/unstacking glass, dumping grapes, stacking/unstacking bins
•  All things red wine during harvest- working on and maintaining the sorting table, red press and everything in between
•  Assisting with translation for the Spanish speaking crew members
Required
•  2 + harvest in a winery
•  Functional level of Spanish
•  Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
•  Forklift experience in a winery environment
•  Attention to detail and the ability to follow SOP’s under pressure
•  Willing to learn
•  Thrives in a fast pace, and quality focused environment
•  Able to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for 8 to 12 hours a day
Additional skills that would be a plus
•  Familiar with Innovint (or similar software such as Vintrace)
•  Previous leadership experience
•  Good taste in music
•  Quick for a joke

•  Adam (30 years)- Owner and Head Winemaker (Elk Cove)
•  Heather (20 years)- Associate Winemaker (Elk Cove/ Head Winemaker (Pike Road); the brain behind harvest, the brain of the lab, and resident game planner
•  John (12 years)- Cellar Lead; press pad guru, crossflow king and general encyclopedia
•  Megan (1 year)- Cellar Supervisor; intern wrangler, bottling line overseer, multi-vintage international harvest alum and PM shift captain (she ensures you get fed)
