Essential Functions:
+ Manage all cellar responsibilities and day to day operations and team members under winemakers direction at harvest with a large emphasis on safety protocols.
+ Follow work orders and facilitate all off season winemaking movements, sampling, chemistry analysis, topping, racking, and blending of wines.
+ Assist in all bottling preparations, including but not limited racking and filtering, and quality control on bottling line.
+ Manage the cleanliness and safety of the cellar, barrel hall, crush pad and adhering to all standard operating procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements:
•  Minimum 1-2 year experience in cellar and/or winemaking experience
•  Possesses and understands basic wine knowledge and cellar knowledge in a global context from vineyard to bottle
•  Task oriented with attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage changing priorities
•  Ability to work in a team and autonomous environment with minimal supervision
•  Ability to complete tasks correctly, timely, and to work effectively under deadlines in an independent manner
•  Ability to reason, problem solve, remain calm and work effectively in stressful situations
•  Highly organized and detail oriented
•  Proficient with computer-based programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other wine related software programs
•  Valid driver’s license
•  Experience driving a forklift highly encouraged

Essential Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner at all times. The employee is frequently required to hear, stand, walk, climb, bend, taste, smell, use hands to handle inventory and tools, reach with hands and arms, pull, push, grasp, and stoop, and lift and carry items up to 40 pounds. Flexible hours, weekends and long hours will be required during grape harvest.
