Blackbird Vineyards is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking interns to join our 2025 harvest team. If you are passionate about wine, not afraid to get dirty, and willing to work hard in the pursuit of making something beautiful, we're excited to show you how to craft amazing wines. This internship is primarily focused on cellar work and winemaking but some lab work will be available to those interested.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fruit procssing
Punchdowns
Pumpovers
Additions
Pressing
Fermentation monitoring
Lab analysis and data recording
Routine cleaning and sanitation of all equipment and work areas
Organising, labelling, and record keeping
Participating in sensory evaluation and QC tasks

Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older
Pyhsical ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting
Passion for winemaking and a desire to learn
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Reliable transportation to and from the winery
Accuracy with numbers and strong record-keeping skills
The ability to read and understand English
Previous harvest experience, or experience in restaurants, food service, baking, or a scientific field preferred, but all are welcome to apply
