We’re looking for a harvest intern to make world class wines with us! We aim to provide some fun and education alongside crafting some of the best wines of the Chehalem mountain, and Ribbon ridge AVA’s. Our interns are an integral part of the team and their energy and personality will leave an indelible imprint on the wines. We’re made up of a small but highly experienced team of winemakers and grape growers who enjoy the work of winemaking, and love to share their knowledge and passion for food and wine.
You'll be helping with fruit sampling in the vineyard, bottling, organizing, sorting, moving heavy things around, cleaning, cleaning again, sanitizing, smelling, lab work, tasting, and all other things production related. Some harvest, winemaking and/or forklift experience is a definite plus but not essential. Motivation, enthusiasm, and communication are essential. There will be some long hours, wet conditions, and lifting of heavy objects (40+lbs). We can be flexible on start dates and pay depending on experience but are hoping to have interns begin in August. We’ll be providing lunch and snacks for the busy times of harvest, and dinner if/when we have later evenings.
If you are interested in joining our team please send me your CV and a little about yourself.
References are always helpful as well.
Flaneur winery is in Carlton, with 50 acres of estate vineyards farmed using organic practices in the Chehalem mountain, and Ribbon Ridge AVA’s. The majority of our vineyards are planted to Pinot noir and Chardonnay. In addition we are also growing and making wine with Pinot meunier, Gamay, Aligote, and Gruner.
