Wholesale Brand Representative

Lakewood Vineyards is seeking a highly motivated individual to maintain and grow our wholesale presence in on and off premise accounts throughout New York state. A successful individual is someone who thrives on being self-directed while being part of a close, family-oriented business.

Duties Include:
- Working with Lakewood Vineyards management to establish distribution and sales goals

- Familiarizing yourself with Lakewood’s brand and products to represent both in an authentic way

- Establishing relationships with distributor reps to ensure that you are working collaboratively to maintain existing accounts, make additional placements and open new accounts.

- Acting as a liaison between our distributor and accounts who sell or are interested in selling our wines, including building relationships with owners/wine buyers at the various accounts in New York state, and beyond.

- Scheduling and staffing in-store seminars and tastings for both account team members and their customers. Work with on-premises accounts to do staff training when requested.

- Handling direct sales to select accounts. Take orders and arrange for delivery (either personally or via another LV team member).

- Checking distributor orders and ensuring that they are correctly filled, stacked and ready for pick-up. Inform distributor of new vintages and inventory issues as they arise.

- Informing distributor of awards and accolades received by Lakewood Vineyards wines

- Communicating activities regularly with Lakewood Vineyards management

Important Skills Include:
- Ability to work independently to set and achieve goals

- Ability to use distributor’s systems to generate reports tracking inventory, sales and other pertinent data to clearly track sales trends

- Ability to work with a wide variety of people, from those with a great deal of wine knowledge and experience to those with little or no experience

- Great communication skills both internally with the Lakewood Vineyards team and externally with those you work with in the field

- Creativity and a “can do” attitude

Compensation and Benefits:
Wages: Base rate of $26.50/hour paid weekly, with additional performance-based commission on wholesale sales paid monthly. Commission paid in 2025 was $17,700.

Health insurance available after 6 months of full-time employment

401K available after 1 year. 4% employer match, with 5% employee contribution

Vacation: 4 paid holidays per year (New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas). Paid vacation accrues at the rate of .769 hours per week of service, resulting in one 1 week of paid vacation accrued after the first year. Additional years of service accrue paid vacation at an additional day per year of service for the first 10 additional years of service. Paid vacation is capped at 3 weeks maximum. Accrued paid vacation beyond the 3 week cap is forfeited at the beginning of each calendar year. Paid vacation is available for use after 6 months of employment, with the amount available limited to the amount accrued up to that point. Unpaid vacation is available upon agreement with management.
