Bedell Cellars is a 46-year-old, sustainably farmed, family-owned estate vineyard and winery producing some of the most critically acclaimed wines on the North Fork of Long Island. We are seeking harvest interns for the 2026 vintage.
As part of our harvest team, interns will work under the direction of the Winemaker and Assistant Winemaker. Cellar/production interns will assist with all aspects of winemaking from harvest through fermentation and barreling down, with some bottling of previous vintages as needed. This is a comprehensive internship with exposure to many facets of winemaking and production, including vineyard sampling, grape reception and processing, indigenous fermentation management, and equipment operation and sanitation.
Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work long hours, and have a serious interest in wine production. Previous harvest experience is a plus. This temporary position will run from September 1 through mid-December, depending on harvest conditions. Candidates must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs., have their own means of transportation and housing. Given the seasonal timeline and scheduling demands of harvest, preference will be given to candidates who are based locally or within commuting distance.
