ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develops and implements tactical plans to create efficiencies and improve effectiveness in areas of responsibility
• Provides continuous oversight and direction to direct reports , proactively and effectively addressing risks to tactical plans.
• Communicates promptly any changes to the tactical plan to all necessary parties to assure alignment with peer functions and minimal disruption as a result of any changes.
• Continuously reviews processes to ensure proper and adequate controls are in place and functioning to safeguard Company assets.
• Owns enhancement and implementation of controls ensuring changes are communicated with all necessary parties to assure smooth adoption.
• Selects and manages a team who are responsible for the day-to-day performance of general ledger accounting.
• Establishes clear performance expectations, aligning responsibilities with business priorities.
• Monitors and develops team performance through ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Drives the monthly financial close process including departmental expense reviews and supporting workpapers for financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Manages annual financial statement and lender audit processes with external auditors.
• Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
• Trains staff on and follows all safety policies and procedures; actively makes improvements to
• processes to ensure highest level of safety; reports all accidents to the appropriate group.
• Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal office environment, overtime may be required.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED
Office equipment including telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, calculator, shredder, and printer.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, repetitive motion with hands for typing, bending, lifting up to 10 pounds, manual dexterity, visual acuity
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelors Degree with major or emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license required
• Ten (10) years of accounting experience
• Five (5) years of direct management experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards and regulations
• Experienced in enterprise accounting systems, MS Business Central preferred
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
