Beaux Frères | Director of Membership & Hospitality
Position Summary
The Director of Membership & Hospitality is responsible for the strategic leadership, revenue performance, and experiential excellence of all direct-to-consumer touchpoints at Beaux Frères. This role integrates wine club leadership, tasting room operations, concierge services, member events, and customer experience into a unified vision rooted in relationship-building and estate stewardship.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales & Marketing and working closely with the Client Relations Manager, the Director will lead a high-performing hospitality team, steward the long-term health of the membership program, and ensure that every guest and member interaction reflects Beaux Frères' ethos and authenticity. This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership position, requiring equal fluency in revenue analytics and refined guest experience.
Core Responsibilities
Membership Strategy & Revenue Leadership
• Own the vision, growth, and retention strategy of the Beaux Frères membership program across all tiers.
• Establish annual revenue, shipment, and retention goals; forecast case volume and attrition.
• Develop and execute acquisition and expansion strategies aligned with production realities.
• Lead Spring and Fall club shipment planning, including wine allocation, featured additions, and inventory coordination.
• Monitor and actively manage processing metrics, declines, cancellations, and recovery outreach.
• Promote exclusive releases, library wines, and allocation offerings through personalized and segmented communication.
• Oversee performance reporting across Commerce7, WinePulse, and related platforms to inform data-driven decisions.
Hospitality & Guest Experience
• Design and continuously refine a world-class hospitality program that reflects the estate-driven ethos of Beaux Frères.
• Lead tasting room operations, staffing strategy, and reservation management to ensure seamless execution.
• Model elevated service standards and authentic wine storytelling.
• Develop and implement ongoing education and sales training programs for hospitality staff.
• Ensure consistent capture and meaningful use of guest data to deepen relationships.
• Provide concierge-level services, including local referrals and curated visit coordination.
• Maintain physical spaces (tasting room, kitchen, library, back-of-house) to the highest standard of aesthetic and operational excellence.
Team Leadership & Culture
• Inspire, mentor, and manage the hospitality and membership team.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development planning.
• Foster a culture of accountability, warmth, precision, and estate pride.
• Align daily team execution with broader sales and brand objectives.
Events & Experiential Programming
• Lead planning and execution of all member-facing events, including pickup parties, vineyard dinners, and allocation experiences.
• Oversee vendor selection, catering, rentals, wine selections, and day-of logistics.
• Develop experiential programming that strengthens member loyalty and reinforces brand narrative.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure events reflect winemaking and estate priorities.
Financial Management & Reporting
• Partner with the Senior Director of Sales & Marketing and CFO to establish annual DTC revenue targets.
• Monitor tasting room and membership performance daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Provide consistent reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Track KPIs including:
o Conversion rates
o Revenue per guest
o Retention rate
o Average order value
o Inventory utilization
Inventory & Operational Oversight
• Oversee club shipment forecasting and warehouse coordination.
• Manage on-site tasting inventory, sample usage, and library wine depletion.
• Ensure compliance and accurate order transmission across systems.
• Monitor will-call inventory and prevent overselling of limited SKUs.
Industry & Brand Representation
• Cultivate relationships with trade, referral partners, and peer luxury wineries.
• Attend relevant industry events and hospitality forums to stay current on trends.
• Represent Beaux Frères with authority and authenticity in all professional settings.
Qualifications
• At least three years of leadership experience in membership programming and high-level hospitality.
• Proficiency in Commerce7 or a comparable CRM and POS platform.
• Comprehensive wine knowledge and the ability to communicate that expertise to guests and members in a relatable way.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team-oriented environment.
Compensation
• Salary is dependent on experience.
• Full employee-only coverage on our group Health and Dental Insurance, available on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.
