Seeking a dedicated team player to provide bookkeeping and administrative support for our small winery. This position requires an individual who can maintain confidentiality, has previous training and experience using QuickBooks (desktop) for winery bookkeeping and accounting. The individual must be able to effectively communicate via phone and email ensuring that all position responsibilities are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Position responsibilities will have a primary focus on bookkeeping, including some project work to clean-up chart of accounts and work to establish consistent bookkeeping processes and practices. This position will also interface with some state reporting and record maintenance activites, primarily completed by another employee with secondary duties supporting general maintenance of office records for accounts payable. Previous experience with QuickBooks bookkeeping responsibilities is required, previous wine industry experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and financial record maintenance including weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation between various POS, Reservation and financial records systems.
Initial project period to clean-up chart of accounts and general bookkeeping practices followed by ongoing work to maintain QuickBooks processes and record keeping.
Collaborate with tax accountant and payroll services during reporting periods to provide accurate and timely financial records for various projects.
Manage invoicing and bill pay for clients/vendors.
Maintain files, database and contacts and insure files are organized and up to date
Qualifications:
2+ Years of office management experience.
2+ Years of bookkeeping experience including experience with QuickBooks or equivalent education.
Proficiency with Google Workspace or Similar Programs .
Past experience with wine Point of Sale System (Commerce 7 preferred).
Ability to Work Independently, Accurately, and Timely on Multiple Tasks.
Strong communication skills: written and oral
Hours & Compensation:
This is a Part-Time position, approximately 10-15 hours/week with flexible schedule.
Hourly pay between $24 and $30 per hour DoE and fit for position.
$300 hiring bonus, paid after 3 months, when initial QB file project is complete.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
