Cellar Harvest Internship

Jolie-Laide Wines

Sonoma, CA

Apply

Job Description:

Jolie-Laide Wines is a small, hands-on winery based in Sonoma, California, located in the 8th Street East industrial area, about 10 minutes southeast of downtown. We work with a wide range of distinctive grape varieties sourced from across Northern California, including Aligoté, Melon de Bourgogne, Trousseau Gris, Gamay, Trousseau Noir, and Syrah, among others. In addition to our core program, we collaborate with small custom crush clients featuring Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and many more.

We are a tight-knit, three-person production team focused on crafting high-quality, fresh, and vibrant wines using minimal-intervention practices. For the upcoming harvest, we’re looking to bring on one motivated and skilled intern who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced cellar environment.
This is a 100% cellar-based position. As a small team, we all contribute to every stage of the winemaking process, and we’re looking for someone who is ready to do the same. Harvest is dynamic and often unpredictable, so adaptability, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude are essential.

What You’ll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General cellar cleaning and sanitation
Floor squeegeeing and maintaining a clean cellar
Fruit processing (including lots of barefoot grape stomping)
Tank dig-outs
Sample preparation and basic analysis
Equipment and tank cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance
Fermentation monitoring
Cap management (punch-downs and pump-overs)
Detailed equipment cleaning
Barrel cleaning and steaming

Qualifications
At least one prior harvest season experience (preferred)
Passion for wine and a desire to learn through hands-on work
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
Ability to multitask and adapt
Willingness to work extended hours, up to six days per week during peak
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Timing
The 2026 harvest season is currently tracking on the early side. The position is expected to begin in early August and run through beginning of October.
