Position Overview:
The Associate Specialist (Wine Inspections) plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of HDH’s auction offerings. This position is responsible for the collection, triage, and inspection of consigned wines, and offers a hands-on opportunity to work with and learn about the best wines in the world. The Associate Specialist will interact directly with high-profile clients, where professionalism, discretion, and a willingness to go the extra mile are essential.

Position Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in the fine wine industry
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong communicator who enjoys working with colleagues and clients alike
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including by air, to collect wines from consignors’ cellars
- Valid driver’s license, willingness and ability to drive to collect wines from consignors’ cellars (use of a personal vehicle is not required)
- Consent to a criminal background check prior to start of employment

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions, including:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work on one’s feet (stand & walk) for most of the day
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
