About Us:
•  Draxton Wines started in 2008 to form a liaison between farmers and winemakers in an industry where the two parties are so connected, but speak different languages. Our team, having experience as Vineyard Managers and Winemakers, spoke these languages. Now 15 years later, Draxton Wines has developed into a wine production company which processes over 15,000 tons of grapes annually for production contracts, custom crush clients, and open market sales. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Facility and environmental compliance: Coordinate and execute, Wastewater, drinking water, stormwater, fire suppression, hazardous waste, CERS, CUPA, HazMat, DOT, and FDA compliance and reporting. Provide support with Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CSSWA) and Certified California Organic Farmers (CCOF) certification as needed.
•  Facility Maintenance: Responsible for the upkeep of production facilities and offices managed by our Maintenance Manager. Schedule PMs, oversee contractor’s, vet proper vendors, maintain vendor documentation including contracts, insurance certificates, and service records. Provide support for cellar operation as needed, in conjunction with Cellar Manager.
•  Safety: Implement, maintain and provide training for our safety program to ensure Cal OSHA requirements are met for IIPP (Injury and Illness Prevention Program), ERP (Emergency Response Protocol), and other operational programs. Serve as a liaison for employees regarding safety, facility, and employment-related concerns.
•  Wine Production: Support the Director of Winemaking in planning, tastings, facility logistics, and quality control during harvest and weekly tastings throughout the year.
•  Winery Operations & Logistics: Work with our Wine Operations Coordinator for product movement, capacity reporting, and client inventory reporting as needed.

Qualifications:
•  Minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations coordination, facilities management, manufacturing, or winery operations. Strong knowledge of OSHA, U.S. EPA, and California environmental regulations, codes, and standards. Spanish proficiency (written and spoken) is a plus.
