NexTerra Wine Company is looking for a full time Cellar Worker to join our production team! Working as part of our team, under the guidance and supervision of the Cellar Master. The Cellar Worker will assist in duties including but not limited to assisting the winemaking process, operating machinery and other equipment, picking orders, moving stock around manually, perform general winery housekeeping duties, and carrying out all orders effectively. This position is based at our facility in Woodridge, IL. Base pay starts at $18/hour and increases with experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Clean and sanitize winery equipment
Perform wine movements and pump-overs
Rack wine, sanitize tanks and drains, and maintain barrels
Perform wine and chemical adjustments per Winemaker directions
Top barrels
Headspace gassing
Operate less complex equipment
Measure and calculate workplace data
Moving, checking, handling and storing outgoing boxed good ranging from 30-40lbs.
Moving and organizing inventory.
Removing winery waste products from the winery.
General Winery Housekeeping duties including sweeping and picking up around the warehouse.
Basic understanding of winery operations and standard operating procedures.
Perform moderately complex cellar and barrel tasks including but not limited to assemble blends per Winemaker instructions, add fining agents for clarifying wine, powder filtration, pad filtration, crush operator.
Follow safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member’s safety.
Must be able to perform all job functions in strict adherence to company health and safety protocols, and in accordance with quality control standards and standard equipment operating procedures.

Requirements:
Full Time Availability (Monday through Friday)
Ability to lift 50lbs
Will have at least 1 year of relevant warehouse experience, ideally in the food or beverage industry
Strict adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines
Ability to stand on feet for 10 hours a day
Experience working with machinery is a plus
Dedicated and an efficient worker
Strong verbal communication skills.

Must be able to stand for 10 hours
Must be able to climb ladders
Must be able to handle climbing and working at great heights
