Violin Wine LLC seeks a sales and hospitality professional to execute and assist in our direct to consumer sales, events, advertising/marketing associated with them, and order fulfillment. The position will be based at our winery space and tasting room in the Eola-Amity Hills, working autonomously while also reporting to and working directly with the owners, in addition to certain remote work and off site pouring opportunities.

The right candidate should be passionate about hospitality, Cool-Climate wines, the Willamette Valley, and show eagerness to share this enthusiasm through the Violin lens. This position includes incentive through commission based compensation in addition to hourly pay. While listed as "part-time", our hope is for the successful candidate to grow this role into "full-time" within the company, dovetailing with the owners to build a solid foundation for sales growth, consumer retention, and “high touch” customer service.

About Violin

Violin was started in 2013, producing some 600 cases of Pinot noir, and has grown to more than 2000 cases by the 2022 vintage, including ~ 500 cases of barrel fermented Chardonnay. Our wines are aged through the following vintage and bottled in the Winter, making the 2023 (and certain 2024) vintages our current release wines. Since harvest of 2024, we have leased the former Hidden Springs Winery in the Eola Hills, functioning as headquarters for both production and sales.


Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and operate tasting room to ensure quality of guest experiences

*Private, appointment tastings (evolving calendar)
*Walk-In customers (set days/times)
*Scheduling, booking, reception
*Inventory management
*Point of sale
*Email and phone correspondence
*Maintenance of indoor and outdoor tasting spaces, furniture, stemware


Event Planning and Advertising

*For both club (Wine Guild) and additional events
*Social Media for advertising and promotion of daily and scheduled events
*Engagement with local entities and businesses to further community and commerce


Fulfillment

*Assist in packing orders for shipment, pickup and delivery
*Communication with customers regarding shipments and delivery details


Requirements:

-Excellent communication skills- written and interpersonal
-Experience in service industry/customer service/sales (restaurant, tasting room, other)
-Enthusiasm for Cool Climate Pinot noir and Chardonnay (Viticulture and Winemaking knowledge a plus)
-Computer skills, (POS systems, emails, other media)
-21+ years of age
-Current OLCC pourers permit
-Ability to work weekends
-Ability to lift 45 pounds repeatedly
-Ability to stand for long periods
-Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation


Compensation: Hourly rate dependent on experience, with commissions for sales collected, tips, and incentives for new club membership
