A strong work ethic, intuitive problem-solving, and a genuine enjoyment of hosting are essential. Experience in luxury wine sales, hospitality, and a confident knowledge of fine wine will ensure success in representing the ethos and standards of our estate.
SUMMARY: This key position is responsible for driving direct to consumer sales revenue, club memberships, hospitality/concierge partnerships and an overall excellent guest experience at our winery and vineyards.
A genuine love of food, wine and people is crucial to our team culture.
Familiarity and relationships with Sonoma & Napa County wineries, restaurants, and hotels is a must.
QUALIFICATIONS: Private Membership & Hospitality Manager must be a strategic thinker and an expert in luxury wine sales.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills along with high level of professionalism
• Exceptional knowledge of e-commerce and CRM platforms, and email marketing
• Ability to take ownership of direct sales, marketing plans and associated workflows
• Solid understanding of wine making processes and varietals by region
• A strong team player in our family business
• Proven experience in successful direct sales programming
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
• Allocation wine program management
• Assist & execute in the implementation of wine allocation sales strategies
• Allocation member management, retention and luxury relationship sales
• Facilitate timely and professional delivery of all DS orders
• Assist in guest experience focusing on brand awareness and relationship building
• Strengthen key hospitality partnerships
• Responsible for a high level of financial and operational accountability
• In-depth knowledge of Alexander Valley, Sonoma County and Anderson Valley, Mendocino as a wine growing region
• Hospitality events and wine tastings both on and off site across the nation
• Experience managing an information database with an ability to navigate, segment and analyze data, and process relevant reports is mandatory
• Understanding of State by State compliance
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
• Assist in all aspects of an efficient business office
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
The Private Membership & Hospitality Manager position requires a minimum of 5-years experience in wine and hospitality management.
A bachelor’s degree and wine credentials only.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
The Direct Sales & Hospitality Manager must have excellent computer skills in:
• e-Commerce and POS software
• Email Marketing Software
• Google Analytics
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
