Job Description:

Responsible for the overall management of the House of Smith wine club membership and ecommerce sales through growing our membership base and wine sales, maximizing wine club retention, customer database management, inventory maintenance and strategy, development and execution of membership campaign and communication calendar, fulfillment schedule, promotions, member events, incentives, transferring and tracking wine, and member services.

Works to develop monthly membership and e-commerce initiatives that result in incremental sales growth. The role will be responsible for compliance with individual state laws and regulations regarding the direct shipment of House of Smith wines, whether through club shipments, internet/phone orders, or customer requests to ship from purchases made in the tasting room.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The Wine Club and eCommerce Manager must be flexible in attending on-site and off-site weekend and after-hours events and functions, plus working in the Tasting room(s) on a consistent basis.

Performance Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Wine Club Responsibilities:
•  Plans and executes wine club releases, including shipping planning management
•  Takes ownership and directly manages customer retention through communication with club members and guests in a timely, professional manner
•  Develops, produces, and executes new wine club programs as well as regular assessment of existing programs
•  Educate tasting room staff on current and upcoming wine club releases, addressing policies, procedures, and protocols
•  Maintain and transfer inventory across winery departments/locations.
•  Tracks and reports monthly wine club membership, incentives, and e-commerce performances to senior management and accounting
•  Delivers sales results that meet or exceed wine club membership and budget goals.
•  Acquires and maintains detailed knowledge of House of Smith wines and portfolios.
•  Processes full knowledge of wines and brand positioning. Represents the brand at the winery and at off-site events.
•  Is available to the tasting room staff throughout the workday to welcome new wine club members and assist in the tasting room. Communicates schedule with Walla Walla Tasting Room Manager. Works Friday and Saturday shifts in Walla Walla TR.
Commerce Responsibilities:
•  Handle all customer inquiries related to DTC sales and account maintenance. Respond to all phone calls and emails promptly and professionally
•  Process all e-commerce sales in a timely manner. Resolve compliance issues promptly
•  In conjunction with the marketing manager, create, execute, and oversee/manage sales campaigns on a regular basis
•  Fulfill and manage shipping organization including the filing of out-of-state direct shipping permits in office files and ShipCompliant
•  Stays current with the out-of-state direct shipping requirements.
•  Working with the CEO to interpret and analyze metrics of past sales campaigns to improve future outcomes
•  Evaluates and establishes shipping rates for wine club and other consumer direct programs, ensuring those rates are always accurate and up to date.
•  Manage credit card disputes in a timely manner

Events Responsibilities:
•  Working with the Events Coordinator, develops, plans, and executes special events for the wine club throughout the year in both Walla Walla and Seattle.
•  Acts as the master of ceremonies for these events and engages Tasting Room Manager(s) and Event Manager to execute.
•  Coordinate with the Tasting Room Manager to design and oversee a special events program that aims to:
•  Maximize the number of profitable events
•  Enhance visibility of the Walla Walla tasting room and its premium tasting experiences.
•  Drive increased visitor engagement and attendance.

Management/Leadership:
•  Nurtures an atmosphere of collaboration, teamwork, and enthusiastic employee relations among the tasting room and other staff.
•  Demonstrates an elevated level of professionalism, the ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information and/or situations, and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

•  Wine club management/CRM software
•  Knowledge of Commerce7 and ShipCompliant is highly desirable

Requirements:
•  Reliable transportation
•  Occasional travel to Seattle winery. Weekend and evening availability

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
