Calais Winery is seeking an outgoing, hospitality-driven wine professional to join our Sales team. At Calais, we offer a truly unique tasting experience that centers on sharing our passion for wine. Through intentionally limited, reservation-only tastings, you’ll have the opportunity to fully present our story, while also fostering real conversation and learning. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, versatile team player that can also represent Calais Winery offsite by developing and maintaining relationships with offsite accounts.
Responsibilities:
Conduct educational, reservation-based tasting experiences in our underground Wine Cave
Help manage reservations with exceptional phone skills
Assist with maintaining tasting room, including glass washing, wine bottle stocking, supply stocking, etc.
Perform opening and closing duties
Develop new relationships with potential wholesale accounts
Maintain existing relationships with wholesale accounts
Work with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Must be 21+
TABC certified (prior to starting position)
Strong wine knowledge, as well as a willingness to learn
Refined service and hospitality skills
Comfortable with POS and online reservation systems
Able to stand for long periods of time
Compensation:
$55k salary plus tips
