As we expand our presence in the U.S., we are seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial Senior Brand Development Manager to lead growth in California—one of the most dynamic and competitive tequila markets in the world.
Position Overview
The Senior Brand Development Manager will be responsible for driving brand growth, market execution, and strategic partnerships across California. This role requires a strong understanding of the beverage alcohol industry, distributor management, and on/off-premise activation.
You will serve as the key market representative for El Tequileño, working closely with distributor partners, key accounts, and internal leadership to build brand equity and increase depletions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the California market strategy
Manage and strengthen relationships with distributor partners (e.g., Southern Glazer’s, RNDC)
Drive sales performance, depletions, and distribution goals
Identify and develop key on-premise and off-premise accounts
Plan and execute brand activations, events, and tastings
Educate trade partners and consumers on the El Tequileño story and portfolio
Collaborate with marketing on local campaigns and initiatives
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and key activations
Maintain regular reporting and communication with leadership
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in beverage alcohol (spirits strongly preferred)
Proven track record in sales, brand development, or market management
Strong relationships within the California market (on/off-premise and distributor network)
Experience working with major distributors (Southern Glazer’s, RNDC, etc.)
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work independently
Willingness to travel frequently within California
Passion for tequila, Mexican culture, and premium spirits
