JOB DESCRIPTION
Importer/Distributor seeks self-motivated, goals-oriented sales professional possessing the drive and the ability to develop existing and new business, manage time effectively and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction. This position is for sales in a well-established territory with significant growth potential. Our ideal candidate will be a team player, have a strong work ethic, be well-organized, demonstrate a strong desire to succeed—and be hungry for success! This position works with both on- and off-premise accounts in and around Boston and Cambridge. Applicants should reside in greater Boston and must have a car.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintaining and growing current account base
• Developing and managing new accounts
• Understanding and selling new portfolios and brand extensions
• Acquiring and retaining product and market information, including pricing, highlights, tech specs, competitors, etc.
• Following up with customers in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction
• Supporting accounts by providing merchandising assistance, in-store tastings and other promotional events
• Managing samples and regularly showing new products to existing and potential accounts
• Meeting or exceeding monthly sales and product placement expectations
• Attending and contributing to bi-weekly video sales meetings
• Reviewing monthly performance and sales pipeline with sales manager
• Maintaining accurate mileage and expenses tracking, and submitting other data and reports as required
• Ensuring timely and full payment of accounts receivables within the applicable credit terms
• Generating interest for and participating in the company’s annual portfolio tasting
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of two years’ experience in sales. Experience in alcohol distribution, restaurant industry and/or retail wine sales a plus.
• College degree preferred but not required
• Working knowledge of Google Drive, Word and Excel
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
COMPENSATION:
• Base salary plus commission on gross sales (unless otherwise specified) - this position comes with a well-established territory with solid income potential
• Monthly and quarterly incentives and other payouts based on supplier and company programming
• Year-end bonus based on hitting annual target
• Reimbursement of mileage and approved work-related expenses
