AMBASSADOR/HOST
The Hospitality Ambassador will provide exceptional hospitality and service for our clients and guests across all our unique tasting experiences. The ability to timely run all aspects of our tasting experiences from opening, hosting, closing, and processing all orders will be a formative part of the job. In addition to showcasing our wines (Makk Wine, LLC: Antica Terra, Lillian, and the Glories) we also highlight a rotation of global wines we are fortunate to pour and represent. Bringing an elevated level of excitement for the world of wine, with an eagerness to learn is core to our success within our wine program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplify our brand and mission in all aspects of the work, at every moment
- Provide beautiful service and hospitality for our clients and guests, providing a unique and educational experience to all visitors
- Ensure cleanliness of all department spaces, guest-facing and back of house; prior to, during, and after tastings
- Open, set up, and close the tasting spaces, prepare food for accompanying tastings, and collect all necessary information to process sales
- Understand and contribute to hospitality sales goals
- Promote current events, memberships, and offerings to all guests
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all of our visitors
- Show dedication to building knowledge of wines from the Willamette Valley and beyond
- Maintain relationships & knowledge of other Willamette Valley winery experiences
- Execute assignments as directed by the Director of Hospitality and Experience Manager
- Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of our cellar
- Participate in special events
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong, global wine knowledge is required
- High level of integrity and dependability
- Demonstrated passion and knowledge for wine and outstanding customer service
- Tasting room, restaurant, or other high-touch sales experience
- Very confident in fine wine appreciation and luxury wine category understanding
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and all relevant POS and e-commerce platforms
- Available to work weekends (required)
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to safely lift 40 lbs. and stand and walk for long periods of time
- OLCC permit required
- Requires evening & weekend availability
Wage: $23/hour plus service charges & commissions
VALET/ATTENDANT
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create the very best first and last impression for the onsite guest journey; hold the highest standards of service as designed by the Directors of Hospitality and Culinary Operations
- Participate in opening, set up, and closing of the tasting spaces
- Maintain facilities organization and cleanliness, both back and front of house
- Manage valet and guest transportation services
- Learn and share notable information with guests regarding the farm property and facilities
- ABCD – Always Be Connecting Dots – both recording and utilizing the most detailed notes on each guest and client
- Laundry, ironing; participate in dishwashing; support cycle of service through stocking, polishing, setting and clearing
- Support supplies inventory and organization, report pars and needs to Head Sommelier and Experience Manager
- Participate in inventory control, conducting monthly physical inventory with Director of Hospitality and Experience Manager
- Take direction and seek counsel from the Director of Hospitality and Experience Manager
- Ensure cleanliness of all department spaces, guest-facing and back of house; prior to, during, and after tastings
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High level of integrity and dependability
- Demonstrated passion and for outstanding customer service
- Minimum one year hospitality experience
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to safely lift 40 lbs. and stand and walk for long periods of time
- Requires evening & weekend availability
Wage: $17/hour plus commissions
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions include an office environment, processing facility, vineyard, barrel room, farm campus and cellar.
