Join Jean Hoefliger, winemaker for premium wineries in Napa, Sonoma, and around the world. This is an opportunity to produce premium Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and more, from some of the region’s most iconic and highly coveted sites as part of a small cohesive, and thoughtful team who share a passion for crafting excellent wine and having fun while doing so.

Interns will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of tasks in a high-end wine program that leans heavily on barrel fermentations, with fruit from many of the top vineyards in Napa.

Intern(s) have the potential for a full-time position post-harvest.



Primary Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Receiving and processing fruit, crushing, sorting, pressing, etc.
- Operation and cleaning of crush equipment
- Additions to juice, must and wine
- Performing cap management activities (pumpovers, punchdowns, etc)
- Facilitating wine movements: racking, draining, and transfers
- Barrel filling, topping, stirring
- Continuing to top and monitor other vintage wines
- Monitoring Fermentation
- Drain down and dig outs from tanks and presses

- Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently English
- Ability to understand and comply with all safety requirements
- Tolerate exposure to outside elements (heat, wet and/or damp conditions, cold)
- Positive attitude and ability to be a team player
- Self-driven problem solver is one way your co-workers would describe you
- Juggling competing interests and prioritizing a list of “to-do’s” is familiar territory
- Your attention to detail allows you to work through multi-step processes with precision and care
- You can take direction, but are also unafraid to ask questions, double check calculations and seek advice/clarification when something is unclear
- Ability to immerse yourself in the work with irregular and often long hours (early mornings, evenings and/or weekends)
- Resilient to physical demands like digging, kneeling and standing for long periods of time
