About Us: Union Wine Company is a family-owned winery in Tualatin, Oregon. We care more about the wine you drink than the glass you drink it in, so we put wine in a can, built the company in a warehouse we call the Industrial Chateau, and kept the team small on purpose. Certified B Corp. Work hard, be kind, laugh often, act with honesty and integrity, don’t take yourself too seriously, and treat others with respect. That’s the culture. The rest you’ll figure out.
SUMMARY
The Market Execution Lead ensures Union Wine actually shows up where we promise. You work directly with distributors, protect our core business, and drive growth in priority markets. This is field-intensive work. You're in stores, in distributor offices, on the ground where decisions get made, not managing spreadsheets from a desk. You'll win distributor respect through discipline, follow-through, and the ability to solve problems without a title.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Execution is where strategy becomes real. When it breaks down, revenue is at risk and growth stalls. You close those gaps, protecting what we've built and proving we can win in new markets. This isn't a support function. This is the foundation.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
• Work with Distributors – Conduct ride-withs and field work in priority markets. Know what's selling, what's stuck, and why. Call out voids, out-of-stocks, and execution gaps
early. Help fix them with precision.
• Support Launches & Priority Work – Lead market blitzes and targeted pushes on launches, resets, and initiatives where we’re doubling down. Verify chain reset execution at store
level — when Director of National Accounts negotiates a program and the Director hands off store lists, you’re the one confirming it landed on shelf.
• Protect & Grow – Ensure our core business stays solid while building momentum in Build markets. Support key account execution alongside Directors of Market Execution when it matters.
• Gather Field Intelligence – Know what's actually happening in-market. Flag competitive threats, pricing shifts, and distributor behavior changes early.
• Communicate Clearly – Deliver weekly execution summaries: wins, gaps, next steps. No fluff. Revenue Operations produces the void lists, exception reports, and market
briefs that shape your weekly focus. Partner with Directors and RevOps to translate field intelligence into action.
• Escalate Early – Flag execution risks clearly with solutions, not just problems.
• Work Across Markets – Your Director sets weekly priorities and deployment. Execute against them based on opportunity and execution risk—not equal coverage. Be flexible and
responsive when deployment shifts to a transition market or chain reset window.
• Manage Yourself – Plan your week for impact. Stay organized, adaptable, and disciplined.
• Drive Results Through Influence – Build credibility with distributor teams. Get things done through follow-through and accountability—not a title.
• Keep Growing – Develop wine knowledge, business acumen, and sales skills. Stay curious.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Market Execution.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• Distributors know your expectations and respect your follow- through.
• Execution gaps are caught and fixed fast.
• Core business is protected. Build markets show measurable improvement.
• Leadership has clear visibility into what's happening in the field.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You've spent 3–7 years driving execution in high-velocity beverage or CPG environments. You know how to work with distributors without being their boss. You're comfortable with data and dashboards, but you don't hide behind them. You can prioritize across markets, stay organized under pressure, and follow through when it matters. You show up, do the work, and let results speak. Wine knowledge is learnable. Execution discipline isn't.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3–7 years of experience driving execution in high-velocity beverage or CPG environments
• Proven experience working with distributors and field sales teams
• Ability to influence without authority—you win respect through credibility and follow-through
• Executional rigor and attention to detail
• Comfort with data, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Ability to prioritize across multiple markets and manage dynamic travel schedules (50–60%)
• Clear, direct communicator with strong follow-through
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or sales reporting tools
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in retail and warehouse environments
• Occasional lifting of product or POS materials (up to 40 lbs.)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• High-velocity beverage experience (energy, RTD, spirits, beer, or similar)
• Experience with distributor ride-with models and market execution programs
• Familiarity with chain and independent retail execution
• Comfort using CRM tools and advanced sales reporting systems
• Wine industry experience (helpful but not required)
GROWTH & OPPORTUNITY
Strong performance here opens doors. You can expand market scope or move into Director roles as the organization scales. We promote people
who deliver results.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience
• Performance-based incentives
• Travel and expense reimbursement
• Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
REAL TALK
This isn't for everyone. If you need a clear org chart, a manager title to feel legit, or prefer planning over execution, keep looking. We want people who thrive on influence, accountability, and winning in messy, real-world conditions.
