Hospitality Associate – Van Duzer Vineyards Tasting Room (Dundee, OR)
Summary:
Van Duzer Vineyards is opening a new tasting room in Dundee, Oregon, and we're looking for passionate, people-first Hospitality Associates to help us create memorable wine experiences from day one. This is a part-time role ideal (that could lead to full time) for someone who loves Oregon wine, thrives in a guest-facing environment, and is excited to be part of something new. We're hiring multiple positions and are looking for team members who bring great energy, a sales mindset, and genuine hospitality.

Van Duzer Vineyards is a pioneering Oregon winery established in the 1990s and recognized as a legacy brand in the Willamette Valley. Known for its commitment to wine quality and exceptional customer experiences, we deliver world-class wines while creating meaningful connections with every guest who walks through our doors.
Schedule:
Primary availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays is required. Typical shifts run 10:30am–6:30pm, with additional availability for evening events a plus. As a new location, hours will be scheduled based on traffic and business needs — we cannot guarantee a set number of hours at this time, but our goal is to grow hours and move strong team members into more consistent or full-time roles as the tasting room builds momentum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, welcoming wine tastings and by-the-glass service to both walk-in guests and reserved parties.
- Drive wine sales and wine club sign-ups through genuine, relationship-based hospitality.
- Provide outstanding customer service and create a warm, inclusive environment for all guests.
- Adapt fluidly between reserved experiences and walk-in traffic flow.
- Assist with occasional evening events, pop-ups, and special programming.
- Maintain tasting room standards including cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.
- Process sales, reservations, and club enrollments accurately using POS systems.
- Contribute positively to a new team culture built around fun, flexibility, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience required.
- Genuine passion for and knowledge of Oregon wine; WSET or Sommelier certification is a plus.
- Sales-driven with a natural ability to connect with guests and communicate value.
- Strong communication and social skills — you can educate, entertain, and make guests feel at home.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability required; flexibility for evening events preferred.
- OLCC Permit and Oregon Food Handler's Card required (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand comfortably for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
- $18-$22 per hour base pay DOE
- With tips, wine sales commissions, and wine club sign-up bonuses, associates can realistically expect to earn $30+/hour
- Earning potential grows as tasting room traffic increases, possible full time benefits as guest traffic increases
