Position Summary
The Bottling Production Operator is responsible for safely operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment on a mobile bottling line. This role supports efficient production while ensuring product quality, food safety, and workplace safety standards are consistently met.
Essential Functions
• Operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting on bottling line equipment, including Monobloc, labeler, conveyors, and case sealer.
• Clean and maintain bottling equipment in accordance with sanitation and food safety standards.
• Safely and efficiently operate all equipment to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost-effective manner.
• Perform equipment changeovers as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food safety-compliant work environment; perform general housekeeping duties.
• Complete routine production reporting and conduct required quality checks.
• Perform all in-process and final quality control and verification checks accurately and consistently.
• Demonstrate strong situational awareness and urgency on the production floor, with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Follow all safety procedures and proactively identify and report potential hazards.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform a variety of tasks on technical production equipment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, as needed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
• Work performed both indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures (hot and cold conditions).
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 55 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating equipment.
• Ability to climb stairs/ladders and perform physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Exposure to loud noise, fumes, and/or chemicals.
• Work performed around moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.
