The Korbel Hospitality team is seeking a highly organized and service-driven Hospitality Assistant to provide administrative and operational support across the department. This role reports to the Director of Hospitality and collaborates with multiple teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, events, and guest experiences. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed. Hospitality, administrative, and customer service experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Hospitality department and Director of Hospitality
• Maintain inventory and coordinate purchasing of supplies for meetings, events, and departmental needs
• Manage and coordinate Hospitality vendors, including food, beverage, and linen providers
• Oversee product donation requests and act as primary contact for gift certificate redemptions
• Coordinate and manage the employee snack program across departments
• Assist with invoice coding, credit card reconciliation, and tracking departmental expenses
• Support additional departments under the Director of Hospitality, including the Tasting Room, Delicatessen, and DTC
• Assist with executive lunches, VIP dinners, and winery events as needed
• Set up meeting spaces, including meals, tastings, and A/V; ensure spaces are clean and well-stocked
• Maintain department files and update documents as needed
• Coordinate seasonal and holiday décor across the winery
• Provide backup support for the Event Coordinator
• Provide general support across hospitality functions as needed
Qualifications & Skills
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, administrative support, or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Team-oriented with a collaborative and positive attitude
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Korbel products and company history
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and event-based hours
• Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record required
• California Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred
