Job Description:

Title: Director of Hospitality

Purpose:

The Director of Hospitality is responsible for cultivating and managing Direct-to-Consumer relationships at Amulet Estate, while also increasing qualified guest traffic to the winery. This role involves overseeing the development and stewardship of customer relationships, ensuring thoughtful engagement with collectors, members, and visitors. The Hospitality Director will curate, organize, and facilitate on-property and off-property events, including direct wine tastings at the winery.

General Accountabilities:

•  Personally host and lead estate tastings, vineyard visits, and cave experiences that reflect the hospitality standards and intimate nature of Amulet Estate.
•  All general Guest Relations activities.
•  Participate in the planning and management of all activities that will result in DTC sales/revenue.
•  Refine, maintain and grow the winery’s DTC allocation list.
•  Increase consumer traffic to the winery.
•  Assist with development and implementation of DTC offerings.
•  Assist with the allocation and inventory maintenance of DTC wines.
•  Assist with planning and implementation of events associated sales and promotion of our wines.
•  Manage & execute fulfillment of DTC orders and shipping of wine and products related to winery sales.
•  Assist Winemaking team with hosting guests and preparation of consumer tastings at the estate as needed
•  Support eCommerce Campaigns for releases and promotions.

Specific Accountabilities:
•  Establish & maintain positive relationships with consumers, providing ongoing communication and outreach which will result in future orders and personal referrals
•  Provide ongoing outreach to public and private events, wine groups, concierges, event planners, private drivers and other parties to grow our DTC customer base.
•  Help plan and participate in specific winery sponsored events, general outreach and other opportunities aimed at bringing new customers to our winery.

Schedule to include Saturdays and Sundays

Essential Functions/Requirements:
•  Able to sustain a fast work pace, meet deadlines, and tolerate frequent interruptions and changes in routine.
•  Able to travel by car and airplane as needed and work some evenings and weekends.
•  Able to tolerate repetitive motions on an occasional basis.
•  Able to read, write, spell, and speak English.
•  Able to deal tactfully interact with customers, government agencies, other personnel, and/or the public.
•  Able to follow oral and written directions; work well under pressure and time limits.
•  Possess a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

•  Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
•  Ability to stand or sit for 5 consecutive hours.

Work Environment:
•  Must be comfortable in a variety of work environments including wineries, vineyards, and offices.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills:
•  A minimum of three years’ experience in hospitality with a focus on fine wine and luxury experiences.
•  Excellent wine knowledge.
•  Ability to learn software including but not limited to Shopify, ShipCompliant, Microsoft Teams, ZOOM, TOCK, FedEx Ship Manager, Campaign Monitor and others.
•  Proficiency with Microsoft and Mac office suite.
•  Excellent written and verbal communications skills including public speaking and negotiating.
•  Proficiency in time-management and the ability to work independently with a high level of efficiency.
•  Willingness to work and flourish in a team environment.
