Seasonal Tasting Room Rep - Part Time

Job Description:

A Taste of What You'll Do
Includes tips & incentives!

Prepare the tasting room for daily opening and closing
Promote and sell wine and non-wine products in the visitor center
Educate guests on wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, and brand awards
Answer visitor questions and provide general tourist information
Handle cash register operations and daily sales accounting
Support retail display, product stocking, and inventory counts
Assist with hospitality special events
Process phone and wine shipping orders in compliance with regulations
Check guest identification and monitor for signs of intoxication per state guidelines
Represent the Gallo brand professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically

What You'll Need
High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
Required to be 21 years of age or older.
Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
Bachelor’s Degree.
Knowledge of wine and wine production.
