We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Controller to run the daily operations of a small Administrative Team. This is a key role within the Company, working closely with the CFO and all Department Heads. The successful candidate will enjoy a flexible and changing environment where priorities shift from day to day.
Job Description
• Oversee and direct the day-to-day financial operations of the company
• Responsible for all overseeing all month end closing procedures and Journal Entries
• Determine and maintain Cost of Goods information on all wine in production
• Work with CFO to ensure inventory controls are in place and verify systems are working as intended, including supplies inventory
• Produce monthly financial reports including Income Statement and Balance Sheet that comply with GAAP standards, in a timely manner
• Oversee accounting staff management of sales data, AP, AR and Payroll and banking activities
• Monitor cash flow and Line of Credit balance
• Prepare federal and Oregon state Excise Tax Reports and Oregon CAT Tax Reports
• Maintain relationships with business partners including banking and accounting professionals
• Responsible for Human Resources needs including helping to set policy and benefits for all employees and oversight of benefit administration
• Work closely with CFO in construction of budgets and long-range planning documents
• Work with department heads reviewing financial information and budget to actual performance
• Prepare information and communicate with the Advisory Board
• Contribute to the long-term success of the company through participating in management team analysis and strategic planning work.

Job Requirements
College Degree plus minimum 5 years’ accounting experience with increasing responsibilities
Strong Cost of Goods accounting skills
Winery experience preferred
Full knowledge of accounting systems, GAAP, inventory management
Ability to analyze data and produce written reports
Self-starter comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
Advanced skills in MS Office programs
QuickBooks Enterprise experience a plus
Strong communication and leadership skills
Exhibit positive and respectful interactions with all team members
