Schramsberg is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time Housekeeper to maintain a private residence.

SUMMARY
The Part-Time Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep of a private residence and guest house. This position requires a dependable, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness while respecting the privacy and confidentiality of the household. The Housekeeper will work independently, follow established routines, and ensure both the main home and guest house remain welcoming, orderly, and well-maintained.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM (occasionally until 2:00 PM as needed)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Main House (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
•  Guest House & Linen Care (Wednesday)

The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of the main residence Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning and sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms, making beds, changing linens, performing laundry (washing, drying, folding, and organizing), cleaning mirrors and interior windows as needed, emptying trash, and maintaining organized living spaces. On Wednesdays, responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining the guest house bedrooms, bathrooms, office areas, and communal areas, preparing guest spaces when needed, and washing, pressing, organizing, and properly storing table linens. The Housekeeper may also assist with light preparation tasks related to hosting or special household needs. Additional duties include monitoring household cleaning supplies and notifying the homeowner when replenishment is needed. All duties must be performed with attention to detail, discretion, and care for household furnishings and materials.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have prior housekeeping experience, preferably in a private home setting. The ideal candidate must demonstrate reliability, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A high level of trustworthiness and discretion is required due to the private nature of the residence. The candidate must be able to speak and write in English to effectively communicate, understand instructions, and read cleaning product labels and safety guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Housekeeper must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality according to the established schedule. Reliable transportation is required. The position requires the ability to follow established household routines while remaining flexible when occasional schedule adjustments are needed. The candidate must maintain professional behavior at all times and respect the confidentiality and privacy of the household. The ability to safely use common household cleaning equipment and products is required.

SKILLS
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and an initiative-taking approach to maintaining cleanliness. Attention to detail, efficiency, and consistency in performance are essential. The Housekeeper must possess good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. The ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload within scheduled hours, and maintain a positive and professional demeanor is important. Basic knowledge of proper fabric care, laundering techniques, and safe cleaning practices is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying items up to approximately 50 pounds. The role involves repetitive motions such as vacuuming, mopping, and folding laundry. The Housekeeper must be physically capable of performing routine household cleaning tasks safely and efficiently.

SAFETY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment within the home. This includes proper handling, storage, and use of cleaning products according to manufacturer instructions, safe operation of cleaning equipment, and immediately reporting any hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns to the homeowner. The Housekeeper must follow safe lifting techniques, prevent slips and falls by maintaining dry and clear floors, and ensure cleaning materials are securely stored away from pets, guests, or children when applicable.

Accident prevention shall be considered of primary importance in all phases of job responsibilities.

PAY TRANSPARENCY DISCLOSURE:
The pay scale for this position is $22.00/hr. - $25.00/hr. These figures represent what we expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend on numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and market alignment. The Company reserves the right to modify this range in the future.
