Promote and assist the continued build-out of domestic logistics and distribution functions of a private-equity-backed wine and spirits business with an impressive growth trajectory.
As a key player within the company, the specialist will help to build and continuously improve domestic logistics and distribution functions. The specialist will also leverage their background, operations expertise, and drive for results to develop and execute the strategy to achieve the company’s ambitious growth targets.
Success requires an energetic and inquisitive individual who is eager and able to learn the intricacies of distributing wine and spirits, a natural leader who is excited to create and deliver change/improvements, and a willingness to get into the details and excitement for solving ambiguously defined business challenges. The ability to collaborate with the operations team is critical to success.
The specialist will be a sounding board/thought partner to the manager of domestic logistics/distribution and operations leaders.
The candidate must be excited to drive change, put in extra work during busy periods, and promote team comradery and a fun office culture.

Core Responsibilities
1. 3PL and Supplier coordination:
•  Oversee the complete domestic logistics lifecycle, including order dispatch, tracking, and final delivery to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
•  Manage and monitor a high volume of orders concurrently to ensure accurate fulfillment, maintaining a 95% or higher on-time delivery rate.
•  Address and resolve complaints and issues promptly, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction
•  Facilitate and maintain effective communication with domestic suppliers, trucking companies and warehouse partners on a daily basis
2. Support logistics team:
•  Assist in building and maintaining strong relationships with 3PL partners, monitoring performance to ensure SLA adherence.
•  Support the implementation of logistics strategies to align with company goals and market dynamics
•  Help establish clear communication channels and KPIs with regular updates and feedback sessions
•  Offer comprehensive support to distributor related tasks as required.
3. Cross functional:
•  Communicate and coordinate with other departments, 3PL partners, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery
•  Offer comprehensive support to the operations and logistics teams as required
•  Perform any other duties as assigned to support business operations

Experience
•  2+ years of experience working in domestic logistics and distribution.
•  Experience managing end-to-end final mile delivery operations, with a focus on on-time delivery.
•  Demonstrated experience in communicating with and managing customer, 3PL, and carrier relationships.
•  Experience in optimizing the use of systems to enhance data-driven decision-making.
•  Strong understanding of distribution principles and US supply chain dynamics.
•  Experience with Microsoft Office.
•  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV) or similar large/complex systems such as SAP is a plus.

•  Experience with imports, distribution, CPG retail sales, or other related operations

•  A strong leader with highly developed EQ and interpersonal skills. Able to inspire and motivate people at all levels within the Company.
•  Unquestioned honesty and integrity. Flexible, straightforward, and willing to go the extra mile to support the scale of the business.
•  Determined, persistent yet not overbearing or divisive – ability to push back diplomatically yet firmly or hold onto and defend position.
•  Directness coupled with empathy and positivity are a plus.
