Laurel Ridge is one of Oregon’s oldest family-owned and operated wineries. We are looking for a friendly, welcoming, relationship-based seller to join our Hospitality Team as a part-time Lead Tasting Room Associate.
A Lead Tasting Room Associate is someone is dedicated to the mastery of sales and hospitality and has the personality and drive to teach, support and lead other associates. The Tasting Room Lead performs all of the job responsibilities of a Tasting Room Associate while also providing oversight of the Tasting Room during operations and occasionally at onsite/offsite events. The Lead position is an intermediary position where someone can hone their leadership skills for a year or two before moving into a Management position. While this position is not the Manager, the Lead is expected to take on the responsibility of the Manager on Duty when a Manager is not present. Tasting Room Leads report to the Tasting Room Manager and/or to Ownership. Tasting Room Leads will also be asked to perform some offsite Marketing and outreach partnering with events and business to bring in new customers and promote the Laurel Ridge brand. Offsite marketing can mean anything from executing wine festivals, to being present at community events and fundraisers, to pouring wine and creating relationships in other businesses including boutiques, restaurants, wine shops and grocery stores. This position not only has to execute these events, but is invested in seeking out new and exciting marketing and event opportunities.

Job Requirements:
Must have an OLCC Alcohol Server's Permit
Must have or be willing to get a Food Handlers card
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must be able to and stand on your feet for long periods of time and walk at least 10,000 steps per shift
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, push, and crouch on a daily basis
Must be able to work on weekends, evenings and holidays although not everyone will work all weekend or every evening event.
Must be able to maintain flexibility in scheduling. IE, we are unable to accommodate too many scheduling constraints (outside obligations static or temporary) in this position.
LEADS are expected to request no more than one weekend off per month IE a maximum of 3 weekends off during any one fiscal quarter.
Hours:
Regular part-time Leads will range from 20-30 (4-5 days/ week) hours per week depending on business needs
Compensation:
Hourly base DOE, plus tips, plus spiffs (club sign ups) plus commission on wholesale orders
Well-performing individuals earn $30-$40/hr in this position with seasonal ebbs and flows
