New Jersey Winemakers Co-Op
Overview
The New Jersey Winemakers Co-Op seeks proposals from qualified wine professionals to
serve as a Brand Ambassador for the organization. The Co-Op is a coalition of New Jersey
wineries dedicated to producing and promoting high-quality wines made from New
Jersey-grown vinifera grapes.
This role will serve as a public-facing advocate for the Co-Op and its member wineries, helping
to expand awareness, credibility, and engagement for New Jersey wines within the broader
wine, hospitality, and media communities.
The position is structured as a part-time contract engagement and is well suited to a
passionate wine professional interested in representing a quality-focused group in an emerging
wine region.
Scope of Work
Brand Ambassador & Industry Representation
•  Serve as an advocate for New Jersey wines and the Winemakers Co-Op.
•  Interface with writers, critics, sommeliers, industry professionals and gatekeepers, and
the public to promote the organization and its member wineries.
•  Establish and cultivate relationships that expand visibility and credibility for New Jersey
wines within the wine and hospitality industries.
•  Represent the organization professionally at select tastings, seminars, and industry
events.
Strategic Communications
•  Work with Co-Op leadership to develop and implement strategies that build awareness
and strengthen the reputation of New Jersey wines.
•  Support positioning and messaging that highlights the quality and distinctiveness of
wines produced by Co-Op members.
•  Utilize the Winemakers Co-Op brand, wine styles, and other agreed-upon elements as
tools to advance communications initiatives.
Industry Engagement & Programming
•  Assist in the planning and execution of educational seminars, consumer events and
industry programming.
•  Support the development of professional presentations or panels that introduce New
Jersey wines to broader industry audiences.
Expected Deliverables
The Brand Ambassador will be expected to support initiatives such as:
•  Facilitating introductions or relationships with key wine media, critics, or trade
professionals.
•  Assisting in the organization of 2-3 professional seminars, tastings, or industry
presentations annually.
•  Identifying opportunities for media coverage, trade exposure, or speaking
engagements that elevate the profile of New Jersey wines.
•  Providing periodic updates to the Co-Op leadership summarizing outreach efforts,
connections made, and opportunities developed.
Compensation & Structure
•  $1,500 per month
•  Independent contractor engagement
•  Estimated time commitment: 15–20 hours per month
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
•  Be an established wine professional with strong knowledge of the wine industry.
•  Have existing relationships with media, sommeliers, educators, or hospitality
professionals.
•  Possess strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.
•  Demonstrate understanding and enthusiasm for regional wine development and
emerging wine regions.
