Position Summary:
The Wagner Family of Wine (WFM) is looking for a National Off Premise Chain Manager to manage and drive sales across the entire spectrum of Chain Accounts and affiliated WFW distributors in the United States with a focus on regional accounts, but US exposure may be requested as needed. Personal, regular face to face relationships are paramount and will necessitate business interaction with account VP’s, Director of Adult Beverage, Wine and Spirits Coordinator as well as Local Grocery Merchandisers as warranted. Relationships will be expected with distributor Account Executive contacts within the key Division geographies. Responsibilities may include management and development of direct reports. Travel as necessary to designated Chain Headquarters and Key Individual Chain Divisions based on business and opportunities. This will be a collaborative approach to call on National chains with a focus on the external Division opportunities. This position reports directly to the National Director of Retail Chains.

Responsibilities to include:
•  Become the internal chain expert and liaison; communicate strategies, tactics, and execution expectations; provide direction to the Wagner family and sales team.
•  Provide in market recaps of chain activity monthly.
•  Analyze and successfully fill authorization and merchandising gaps on all Wagner SKU’s, across each separate Chain Division for your geographic area.
•  Cultivate lasting, effective and accountable partnerships throughout the Chain wine buying teams and influencers to become a preferred supplier.
•  Keep an active pricing and QD database as developed by local sales teams. Questions, suggestions and collaboration encouraged, but changes/additions must be approved by DM and Chain Director.
•  Build trust, loyalty and confidence within the WFW Divisional and Regional sales teams and support those teams with their specific regional assignments by sharing best of practices.
•  Manage suggested retails in accordance with WFW brand standards and work with the WFW sales teams as well as distributor key account managers to correct any miscues quickly and effectively.
•  Make effective, timely, and well thought out decisions based on the WFW culture, values, and marketing plans.
•  Own business planning cadence: maintain team calendar, deliver weekly performance analysis (depletions, programs activity, opportunities), and provide rolling 60-day plans.
•  Lead account reviews, product education, and relationship development with key buyers, category managers, and distributor partners
•  Communicate planning, pricing, and execution priorities to internal teams
•  Manage budgets, activation plans, and annual forecasts across divisions and SKUs
•  Coordinate, implement change and direction as communicated by the Director of Retail Chains, Director of Sales, or Executive VP.

Communication and Administrative Detail:
•  Advise senior management and ownership of key trends and competitive activity in the marketplaces.
•  Any Direct report reviews should be provided twice a year.
•  All presentations to be reviewed by Chain Director 24 hours in advance of scheduled meeting. Exceptions would be meetings that are confirmed in a short time frame.
•  Fulfill all requested reporting in a timely manner and follow explicit reporting and communication guidelines as directed by senior management.
•  Determine available syndicated reporting options and suggestions.

Required Qualifications:
•  Strong written and verbal communication skill sets and the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both internally and externally
•  Strong grasps of necessary software programs including Targit, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nielsen, and Teams
•  Keep management informed of critical information and trends in the marketplace
•  Articulate and impactful in group presentations and meetings
•  Ability to clearly tell the Wagner Story to key influencers to drive sales
•  Bring passion for fine wine with experience in developing and implementing luxury brand building strategies into daily performance
•  Live within prescribed territory with proximity to major selling markets
•  Travel to National and Divisional meetings
•  Be a solid “team player” and embrace the Wagner Family of Wine culture
•  Embrace developmental opportunities with Manager and execute yearly developmental plan
•  Minimum of 6 years wine industry sales experience required
•  Work location is remote; applicants may be based in any US city

•  Become a Preferred Supplier, build and own strong relationships with territory distributor sales personnel and key account buyers and know your business to be a resource for customers
•  Prioritize all activities that proactively drive sales, protect brand equity, and increase share of mind
•  Effectively communicate market conditions, roadblocks, and opportunities to national chain team
•  Build Wagner Ambassadors inside distributor sales force and with customers through constant engagement and support

Working Conditions:
•  Ability to travel and work some weekends

Physical Requirements:
•  Operate a desktop computer using keyboard and mouse, employing repetitive arm and wrist motions
•  Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to perform job duties
•  Sit and stand for long periods of time and occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch or climb
•  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Excellent Benefit Package ~ EOE ~ Annual Salary Range $150,000 to $170,000
